1 Plan Your Visit to the Luton Funding Fair Tuesday 6 th October at the Hat Factory, Luton together with You may need to queue to speak to some of the funders. To make good use of your time it is important to work out which funders may be suitable for your organisation and the work that you want to do. The Funding Fair will be open to the public from 12noon to 3pm. We recommend that you allow a minimum of an hour for your visit. Table Organisation No. 1 Big Lottery Fund 2 Heritage Lottery Fund 3 Lloyds Bank Foundation 4 BBC Children in Need 5 Team Beds and Luton 6 Sported 7 Beds and Luton Community Foundation 8 Luton Borough Council 9 SEMLEP 10 WENTA 11 Beds & Luton Community Learning Trust 12 Voluntaryworks Use the information on the next 3 pages to find out what funding and support is available.
2 1 Big Lottery Fund Ed Hickman a voluntary organisation, social enterprise or school Awards for All grants of up to 10,000 over 12 months or less Reaching Communities more than 10,000 over 1 and 5 years The Big Lottery Fund offers two funding streams: a small grants programme, Awards for All, which can make grants of between 300 and 10,000 towards projects that can be completed within 12 months and a large grants programme, Reaching Communities, which can make grants of more than 10,000 towards projects lasting between 1 and 5 years. Voluntary organisations, social enterprises and schools are eligible to apply to both programmes. 2 Heritage Lottery Fund Dawn Bainbridge a not-for-profit organisation a partnership led by not-for-profit organisations a range of different grant programmes with grants from 3,000 to over 5million Heritage lottery fund helps groups celebrate the heritage of their communities. Grants start at 3,000 and there are a number of grant programmes to choose from as well as specific programmes to help churches, parks and to work with young people or commemorate the First World War. We support all kinds of projects as long as they make a lasting difference for Heritage, people and communities. Heritage can include anything that people value and want to pass on to future generations. For example, we can help groups with funding to research the history of their local high street, or restore an historic building or monument, like an existing war memorial. We can also give funds to help record people s memories, digitise archives, set up an archaeological dig and we can help with improvements and displays for wildlife sites. 3 Lloyds Bank Foundation Gary Beharrell a registered charity with income between 25k and 1 million supporting people (mostly adults) at critical points in their lives INVEST grants up to 25k per annum and up to six years ENABLE grants up to a total of 15k over two years ENHANCE in-kind support to strengthen and develop charities The Lloyds Bank Foundation invests in charities supporting people to break out of disadvantage at critical points in their lives, and promote practical approaches to lasting change. Our funding is adapted to the needs of small and medium sized charities (income between 25,000 and 1 million). We offer flexible and responsive grant making by providing the following programmes: INVEST A flexible, long term core funding programme for organisations delivering clear, targeted outcomes for disadvantaged people (Grants up to 25k per annum and up to six years); ENABLE A smaller and shorter grants programme for organisations that have identified clear development needs (Grants up to a total of 15k over two years); ENHANCE provides an option of tailored in-kind support to strengthen and develop charities. If you are successful in applying for an Invest or Enable grant, we will work with you to identify whether support under the Enhance programme is right for you
