DATE AND VENUE GENERAL INFORMATION Communication Workshop for Communication Practitioners Among HAPUA Member Countries, hereinafter referred to as Workshop, and the 9 th Meeting of Project 1 HAPUA Working Group No. 3 (Best Practices of Asset Management) & The 8 th Meeting of Project 3 - HWG3 (Managing Distribution Network Reliability), collectively hereinafter referred to as HWG 3 Meetings, will be held from 5-6 October 2016 in Bandung, Indonesia. DELEGATIONS HWG 3 Meetings will be attended by project delegates while Workshop will be attended by communication practitioners from HAPUA Members and other invited guest parties. 1

2 3. GETTING INTO BANDUNG Bandung, the capital of West Java province, is around 160 km away or from Jakarta, the capital city of Indonesia. Husein Sastranegara International Airport, the airport of Bandung, serves direct international flight from Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. There is no domestic flight from Jakarta. If you wish you to arrive at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, the airport of Jakarta, the journey will take approximately 3h 30m (plus any traffic jam) to reach Bandung. Soekarno Hatta International Airport serves direct international flight from Brunei Darussalam, Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam. 4. 3 5. HOTEL ACCOMMODATION Delegates shall be responsible for making their own hotel reservation directly to the hotel of delegate s preference. Each delegate shall also be responsible for hotel costs including room charges, cancellation fee, telephone/ fax/ telex, and other services provided by the Hotel. IMMIGRATION, CUSTOMS, AND AIRPORT TRANSFER Each delegate is responsible for immigration procedures in arrival and departure airport. All delegate s baggage are subject to security screening. Delegates will be transferred to the reserved hotel by cars provided by PLN. The distance from Husein Sastranegara International Airport to Sheraton Bandung Hotel& Towers is around 7.4 km (30-minute drive). If by any case you travel by taxi, please prepare minimum Rp 75,000 and buy a coupon at the airport taxi counter. 3

4 If delegates arrive at Soekarno Hatta International Airport, the airport transfer will be arranged by PLN. Departure time from Soekarno Hatta International Airport will be arranged based on delegates arrival time grouping. If by any case you travel on your own, there are several shuttle bus available to Bandung, namely CitiTrans, Xtrans, and Cipaganti. Please prepare minimum Rp 200,000. When you have reached Bandung, you could then continue by taxi to get into your hotel. 7. CURRENCY Indonesia currency is Indonesia Rupiah (IDR). USD 1 equals to approximately Rp 13,500. The exchange rate information could be obtained through the website of Central Bank of Republic of Indonesia ( 8. VISA AND ENTRY REQUIREMENTS Every person entering Indonesia must process a valid Passport or internationally recognized Travel recognized travel Document valid. The document shall be valid, for more than (6) months from the date of entry into Indonesia. ASEAN citizen required no visa to enter to Indonesia for short governmental/business purpose. Entry procedures in Husein Sastranegara International Airport of Bandung can change without given prior-notice. For the up-to-date information, contact the nearest Indonesia embassy or consulate in your country. For a list, go to Indonesia immigration website ( 9. CLIMATE Bandung in October experiences hot days with clear sky. The temperature fluctuates around 28 o C with light breeze wind. However, everyone should be prepared for rain and thunderstorm too.
