MITCHELL HARRIS WINE COURTYARD Savour your favourite drop and some of the region s fantastic local produce, all whilst relaxing to live music in the shade of the beautiful Mitchell Harris Wine Courtyard. BALLARAT FISH HATCHERY See wild trout in their habitat and witness 145 years of incredible efforts of the committed group of volunteers. MARKETS SUPER SANDPIT Whether you re a green thumb or design devotee, you ll find something to take home at the Gardener s Market and the Creative Designer s Market. There will be lots on offer including gourmet foods, hand made gifts and a diverse range of plants and gardening items. Attention tiny dune dwellers! Dig away, experiment and play, at the Super Sandpit, brought to you by Ballarat Sand and Soil and S.H.A.E Enterprises. Great for little ones to explore their senses, all inside an enclosed and safe environment. Guided tours 12pm, 2pm and 4pm (25 min) daily. APEX ART SHOW Apex Art Show celebrates its 61st show in Wander through and absorb some of the region s best artistic talent, celebrate the winning entrants and puchase your favourite piece to take home. LEGO TRAIL COMPETITION Explore the Gardens to find the curious Kitten, goofy Galah, beaut Blue Tongue Lizard, creepy Croc, terrible Toad, friendly Fruit Bat, silly Seagull and beautiful Butterfly! To cater to this luscious growth, we are moving the general car parking for the Festival to Victoria Park to offer ample parking space and a FREE event shuttle bus. Visit our Be Smart Choose Tap Café for a refreshing Summertime Quencher and hear from popular landscaping celebrities Shuttles will run on a continuous loop from Victoria Park to the Botanical Gardens. Free workshops on water efficient gardening techniques, managing soils and how to create a practical and beautiful garden. TRAIN & RIDE Visitors take advantage of a FREE shuttle service from the Ballarat Train Station to the event. Buses will meet each train service arriving from and departing to Melbourne (between 10am and 5pm). THE NYLON ZOO STORYTELLING Dance like no one is watching and sing at the top of your lungs at Evelyn Roth s Nylon Zoo, an interactive children s experience that takes place inside a giant inflatable Salmon! Listen to a story and dress up as your favourite animal, while watching a musical storytelling performance. This is one for the mini performers in the family. FLOWER RETURNS TWILIGHT CINEMA HOOK The Ballarat Foundation welcomes you to a night under the stars, Sunday 13 March, at Lake Wendouree Foreshore. Gates open 6pm, movie commences at dusk. If you missed it last year, or you just want to witness the awesomeness again, the world s largest outdoor Begonia LEGO flower is back in 2016! This year you can view and touch this spectacular, bloom along with the living Begonias in the Conservatory.
