5 PO BOX 246, Vieux Fort, St. Lucia WEDDING POLICIES, PROCEDURES & DOCUMENTATION Saint Lucia Legal Wedding Requirements Please be advised of the following laws and requirements for weddings in Saint Lucia: Couples wishing to be married must provide the following documentation: o Passport o Birth certificate (certified original) o Certified original divorce decree absolute (if one of the parties is divorced) o In the case of a widow/widower a death certificate of first spouse is required o If a name has been changed, a deed poll is required o If one of the parties is under the age of 18, evidence of a consent of parents is required in the form of a sworn affidavit stamped by a notary public o If any required documents are not in English, an authenticated translation must be available All required documents must be supplied to Coconut Bay Beach Resort & Spa within ten (10) days of contract signature and hand-carried to the resort for your nuptials. Coconut Bay requires three (3) working days for the processing of a marriage license. Should there be a need for an express marriage license (in less than 3 days) a surcharge of US $ will be required for rush processing. Wedding Settings Coconut Bay schedules weddings Monday through Saturday and by request on Sundays at 4 pm only. Weddings are offered in our oceanfront wedding gazebo or the breathtaking Eternity beach location. Coconut Bay s event planner will schedule an appointment with each couple for a private consultation to review all wedding details and documentation the day after your arrival on island. Vow Renewal Requirements Renewal of vows do not require advanced residency on island; however, vow renewal packages must be booked prior to your arrival on island or with a minimum of 72 hours notice to our wedding department. Documentation required includes: Copy of original wedding certificate. Reception Facilities Couples may choose from a variety of locations on our 85-acre resort to hold their post-wedding celebration. Whether you desire a cocktail reception, champagne brunch, buffet dinner or a more formal a la carte meal, our wedding coordinators will assist with all the arrangements. Coconut Bay s wedding gazebo can accommodate up to 30 guests and the wedding center can comfortably host up to 50 guests. Our Bougainvillea banquet center seats over 100 guests and large receptions may be hosted under tents on the grounds (additional fees apply). Beach and pool-side venues are also available for private evening functions. Ask our wedding specialists about menu and service options. Wedding Policies In an effort to ensure that all weddings are given the attention and detail they deserve, Coconut Bay performs no more than three (3) weddings per day. Weddings are scheduled for 10:00 am, 1:00 pm or 4:00 pm and according to Saint Lucia law, all ceremonies must be completed by 6 pm. FREE Weddings will be conducted on Mon-Wed at 10 am or 1 pm only. FREE weddings are not permitted on Holidays or special occasion dates. Weddings may be performed on Sundays by request only for a surcharge of US$300. All ceremony packages require a completed romance contract and a non-refundable deposit of US$300 to secure a date within 12 months. Dates beyond 12 months will require a non-refundable US$500 deposit. Fifty percent (50%) of the total wedding package cost is due 6 months prior to event date with the remaining balance due no less than 45 days prior to arrival date at the resort. Wedding day passes for guests not staying on resort can be requested/purchased by the bridal party in advance. Wedding passes are available in limited capacity and passes will permit guests to arrive on resort 30 minutes prior to ceremony and stay until 30 minutes after reception is completed. Extra person rates are also available for children ages Wedding Groups Coconut Bay rewards the bride and groom with a signed Group Agreement for reserving their guests with the service centers mentioned below: Book 5 rooms or more and the wedding couple receives 1 night Free. Book 10 rooms or more and the wedding couple receives 2 nights Free. Book 15 rooms or more and the wedding couple receives 3 nights Free. Book 20 rooms or more and the wedding couple receives 5 nights Free. or a complimentary upgrade to one of our Jr. Suites (subject to availability.)
