2 Course Description This two and a half day CME and CNE program will update NPs, PAs, fellows, and junior faculty on key findings presented at the annual BMT Tandem Meeting. In addition, timely and highly relevant research and clinical care topics in the field of blood and marrow transplantation will be presented. Through lecture and casebased presentations, specialists in the field will discuss current treatment challenges faced by clinicians involved in the care of both adult and pediatric transplant patients. The conference will feature ample opportunity for interactive discussion and question/ answer sessions. Learning Objectives Upon conclusion of this program, participants should be able to: Assemble and integrate new knowledge and research findings into the evaluation and treatment of BMT patients. Develop skills that may help prevent burn-out, informing peers about challenges such as managing high acuity and emotionally demanding patients. Summarize current trends and describe new updates related to transplant medicine. Recognize current therapeutic options for specific conditions and complications associated with BMT, critical care management and CAR therapies. Attendance at this Mayo Clinic course does not indicate nor guarantee competence or proficiency in the performance of any procedures which may be discussed or taught in this course. Credit is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians. designates this live activity for a maximum of AMA PRA Category 1 Credits. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. Nursing The National Marrow Donor Program /Be The Match is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center s Commission on Accreditation (COA). Up to contact hours may be claimed for this educational activity. Pharmacology Content Select presentations will contain pharmacology content as noted in the Program-At-A-Glance. Identified presentations represent approximately 7.5 hours of pharmacology content. Other Health Care Professionals A certificate of attendance will be provided to other health care professionals for requesting credits in accordance with state nursing boards, specialty societies, or other professional associations. Registration Visit to register online. The registration fee includes tuition, comprehensive electronic course syllabus, continental breakfasts, lunch, break refreshments and a welcome reception. Although it is not Mayo School of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) policy to limit the number of registrants for a course, conference room facilities may necessitate closing of enrollment; therefore, early registration is advised.
