In this program students learn about safety, measurement, reading blueprints, hand tools, power tools, oxy-acetylene cutting and welding, plasma cutting, and arc welding. Students gain experience in the fundamentals of designing and manufacturing products out of metal by building trailers, hitch covers, BBQ grills, and a solar car. Students will also create presentations, reports, and resumes to help prepare them for their career in manufacturing.
