1 PNG ITINERARY RABAUL, TROBRIAND ISLAND, PORT MORESBY JULY 10 DAY ITINERARY Papua New Guinea Tourism Promotion Authority Port Moresby Tel: Fax: Web: Monday 13 July Depart Sydney for Port Moresby on Air Niugini flight PX 002 departing at 09.30am and arriving Port Moresby 12.25pm. After clearing Customs and Immigration, you proceed to the arrival hall. Meet TPA staff upon arrival and transfer to. O/N (D) Tuesday 14 July After breakfast, prepare for your half day City Tour of Port Moresby and its surroundings. By 09.00am wait at the Hotel Lobby as South Pacific Tours will be there to pick you up for the tour. Activities will include visit to the Parliament, Botanical Gardens, PNG Arts and a drive through the city. You will be dropped off at the Hotel at 12.00noon. Have lunch, check out and the Hotel Shuttle bus will take to the domestic terminal for your flight to Rabaul. Depart Port Moresby on Air Niugini flight PX 227 departing at 14.55pm and arriving at into Rabaul. Kokopo Village Resort shuttle bus will pick you up from the Airport. Check in at Kokopo Village Resort. Wednesday 15 July Kokopo Tours will pick you up at 05.00am and take you to witness the Kinavai Omoron. A beach front Tolai Tumbuan (Dance Ritual) which will mark the start of the 15th National Mask Festival. You may return to the hotel for breakfast and return to the festival venue to experience singing and dancing of mask displays throughout the day from East New Britain Province, the region and country. Half Day Tour Bitapaka War Cemetery, German Cemetery, Kokopo Museum, Ralum s Queen Emma Steps, Blue Lagoon. In the evening, you will be taken to witness the Baining Fire Dance. 1

2 Thursday 16 July You will be collected from your hotel by Kokopo Tours for a full day cultural experience of the National Mask Festival. Friday 17 July Full Day Tour: You will be collected from your hotel and taken on a full day tour. Tour will include a trip to Rabaul Town, volcano observatory, visit to the Volcano, Hot Springs and return to Kokopo for the afternoon and night activities of the National Mask Festival including the dance performance by Baining Fire Dancers. Saturday 18 July Your flight to Port Moresby will be an early morning flight. Depart Rabaul for Port Moresby on Air Niugini flight PX 275 departing at 0705am and arriving Port Moresby at 0825am. Upon arrival, look out for the Loloata Island Resort Bus which will take you to Loloata for a day s trip only. Your trip to Loloata will include swimming and snorkeling. By 14.00pm, Loloata shuttle bus will take you to were you will check in. O/N Sunday 19 May Your flight to Losuia will be an early morning flight. Depart Port Moresby for Losuia on Airlines PNG flight CG 388 departing at 09.00am and arriving Losuia at 11.05am. Upon arrival in Losuia you will be met by Serah Clark of Butia Lodge. Half Day Tour activities would include visit to the Paramount chiefs village to see his yam houses. Visit the cave of the ancestors at Labai; swim at Bweka Cave; Tour the villages and see the yam gardens; experience traditional dancing and other cultural activities. O/N Butia Lodge Monday 20 July Full Day Tour Picnic on Wawela Beach. Go swimming and snorkeling and take a ride on a traditional sailing canoe. O/N Butia Lodge Tuesday 21 July You will be taken to the airstrip for your flight to Port Moresby with Airlines PNG, CG395 departing at 11.35am and arriving at 13.45pm. Upon arrival, look out for the shuttle bus which will take you to. O/N 2

3 22 July Your flight to Brisbane will be in the morning. The shuttle bus will take you to the Airport for your Air Niugini flight PX003 departing Port Moresby at 09.30am and arrive in Brisbane at 12.25pm. Upon arrival transit to the Domestic Terminal for your onward flight to Sydney with Qantas on flight QF533 departing Brisbane at 14.15pm and arriving Sydney at 15.50pm.
