3 Dear Artisans, Please join us at the Center for the Creative Arts for our Annual Artisan s Show on November 19 and 20, Last year many of you helped us make changes that made our event a success and we are very grateful. CCArts is a not-for-profit community organization that strives to make the arts available to people of all ages and monies raised from this event help make that possible. One of the ways we accomplish this is through a raffle of Artisan s items. A CCArts staff person will come by during set up Friday and Saturday to collect your donation item for the raffle. This year we will host the following special events during the weekend: Artisan s demonstrations, raffles, food trucks and a fashion show featuring models wearing artisan s items. Plus J Christian Studios and staff giving haircuts, styling and makeup applications on stage bringing lots of energy and excitement to our event! Changes; Wifi boosters or other wifi system will be installed in the Orange and Red studios to make payment easier for your patrons. It is already available in the other areas of the building. Signs will be placed throughout the building in order to better direct traffic. Outdoor areas are being improved also. All of these are to benefit you and your customers and make the experience even better. We look forward to your participation in our event. Our hope is to continue growing this event more and more each year. We feel that last year was a huge step in the right direction. Sincerely, Jana Hall PLEASE READ ALL POLICIES, RULES AND INSTRUCTIONS Annual Artisan s Show Nov 19 & 20, 2016 Entry Procedures Submit the application 4 good quality color photos or electronic images of each type of your work to be sold. 1 good quality color photo or electronic image of your whole booth. Label images with your name and a description of the work. (if ing, your images should have your last name in the filename) Applications without images will not be considered. Electronic images (jpeg) of 200 dpi or better must be supplied for the show webpage, and advertising use. Eligibility Handmade original designs and products are acceptable products. All entries are judged by the vendor committee for quality and suitability for our show. The committee makes the final decision on the items chosen. Buy-sell items, mass produced items or items made from kits are unacceptable. Exhibitors shall exhibit only work represented in the photos presented with the application. Vendors will be asked to remove any items not approved in the application process. CCArts reserves the right to ask the vendor in violation to leave the show without refund of entry fee.
4 Exhibit Space Spaces are approximately 10X10 or 10X8. Work and personal belongings, such as table, chairs, and boxes, must be contained within assigned space. CCArts occupies an old elementary school building. Artisan spaces in classrooms may vary in shape; we ask that artists bring flexible displays. Furniture and equipment in the classrooms may not be moved without permission. If customers will need to walk around your display, allow room within your allotted space, not around the perimeter. Please plan your display accordingly. If extra room is needed, please apply for two spaces. Lighting is overhead; we recommend you bring additional lighting* for your display. *CCArts reserves the right to limit the number of lights in each booth as needed to prevent power outages. Display lighting and extension cords are not provided, please bring your own. If you are not willing or able to be flexible and abide by these conditions, please do not apply. If there is a conflict during set-up, you may be asked to leave and your fee will not be refunded. Selection / Notification All applicants will be judged by the Artisan s Show committee. Entries will not be considered if they do not comply with the rules of this application. Entries will be considered solely on the merits of work pictured in the photos sent with your application. Do not send samples of your work. Acceptance notification will be ed / mailed as applications are judged and accepted. Refunds must be requested before July 1, A $50 processing fee will be deducted. Re: Counterfeit Merchandise and Copyright Infringement Center for the Creative Arts has always taken the issue of counterfeit merchandise and copyright infringement very seriously, and continues to go to great lengths to combat those issues. Center for the Creative Arts volunteers/staff/ regularly look for questionable merchandise being sold during the show. Volunteers/staff will make random visits to the vendor spaces during each festival in search of illicit merchandise such as counterfeit and knock-off products.
