2 Page 2 Buying Your Textbooks At The Bookstore ROGER WILLIAMS UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF LAW BOOKSTORE If the textbook is required or recommended by your professor, the Law Bookstore will have your textbook on the shelf. We have every textbook for every course in one (1) convenient location and we carry both new and used textbooks. Remember, law textbooks are heavily highlighted.our USED textbooks are in great condition...clean and minimal highlighting. Law textbooks are heavily highlighted and usually have notes written in the margins of each page. Purchasing textbooks through the Law Bookstore ensures our customers of two (2) things: 1. The correct title and edition are on the shelf; 2. Clean and minimal highlighting in any of our USED books that are on the shelf. You can also order your textbooks new or used online from our Law Bookstore at We will ship them to you directly, or you can stop by the Bookstore and pick them up at your convenience. Reserving your textbooks online is quick, easy, hassle free, and best of all, requires NO WAITING IN LINE. Remember, when you buy early at the Bookstore, you have a better chance of getting USED textbooks which always cost twenty-five percent (25%) less than new ones. The truth is that textbook publishers set the high prices and earn the big profits as well as introduce new editions with minor changes that make older, less expensive editions obsolete. That is why we work hard to have the biggest selection of USED textbooks for our students and USED textbooks always cost 25% less than new ones. 3 TEXTBOOK NEWS Page 3 Selling Back Your Textbooks When you sell you books back to the Bookstore at the beginning of the semester, you can get up to 1/2 back of the price you paid for them. Get cash back on unwanted textbooks all year long no matter where you bought them! Your highest return value is typically right around finals. The condition of the textbook [i.e., binding quality, missing pages, etc.] is taken into consideration when offering a buyback price so be sure to take good care of your textbooks. If the textbook is being used for the following term and the Bookstore hasn t reached its buy limit you always get back fifty percent (50%) of the selling price. Otherwise, you will receive the latest national wholesale price. The Law Bookstore will post the dates throughout the store and online, and send s as to the best time students Law Reference Books The Law Bookstore sells not only textbooks, but law study guides and reference materials. Our law reference sections include titles from the following series: Emanuel Series E & E Crunchtime Gilberts In A Nutshell and many others. If you do not see a particular book on our shelves that you are interested in, we can order it for you!

4 TEXTBOOK NEWS Page 4 Our Refund Policy We will gladly refund your in-store and on-line purchases. Here are our eligibility guidelines: TEXTBOOKS: All returns MUST be accompanied by a receipt! NO REFUNDS will be given on TEXTBOOKS without a receipt. All returned TEXTBOOKS must be in original condition and packaging. If packaging is broken, the Bookstore has the right to grant an in-store credit. During the period from one (1) week PRIOR to the first day of classes through the end of the first week of classes, a FULL REFUND will be extended to all TEXTBOOKS returned within this timeframe. Refunds will be given back to customer in the original form of payment WITH a Bookstore receipt. With proof of a schedule change [ADD/DROP] slip, a FULL REFUND will be extended to all TEXTBOOKS returned within the first thirty (30) days of the beginning of the semester. 5 TEXTBOOK NEWS Page 5 Textbook Reservations Reserving your textbooks online is a great way to not only make sure that you are getting the correct books, and USED books, but also in avoiding the lines at the Law Bookstore. When you go online to place your order, you automatically receive a confirmation from the website. This confirmation is confirming that you placed an order. It is not confirming that the Bookstore has processed it. Reserve your textbooks online to avoid the lines at the beginning of each semester. When will my credit card be billed? Your credit card will NOT be charged until your textbook reservation is filled. Your reservation box will include all textbooks that are available at the time of processing, a receipt listing all books, and the total dollar amount charged to your credit card. Please retain this receipt, as it is needed for all textbook returns. Employment Opportunities Earn cash and big discounts 20% off textbooks and 35% off merchandise when you work at the Bookstore. We will work around your class schedule and we are conveniently located on campus, so it is the perfect way to put some money in your pocket. Event Promotions The Bookstore promotes special sales throughout the year. These EVENT PROMOTIONS are either generated by our Home Office, such as 25% off clothing from our clothing vendors Champion, Red Shirt, Jansport, or store generated, such as during buyback and cap / gown distribution. In February graduates are notified to come into the Law Bookstore to be measured for their regalia. Graduates are strongly encouraged to come into the Law Bookstore during these days to guarantee regalia for their commencement. Class Rings and Graduation Announcements Celebrate the good news of your achievement with the following: PERSONALIZED COLLEGE ANNOUNCE- MENTS, which include the student s name and degree, along with text for the school s commencement ceremony. Inner and outer envelopes are included in various packages. We also offer ENVELOPE SEALS, with either a gold or silver foil applique, for sealing announcement outer envelopes in style, and PERSONALIZED ADDRESS LA- BELS to provide a more formal, finished look. The Bookstore also displays an assortment of college rings.
