7 2016 S.A SCHOOLS NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP PROGRAM Registration opened on Tuesday, 10 th May 2016 and will close on the 20 th June 2016 Verification of provincial teams start on the 16 th May 27 th June July 2016: Arrival of Chef-De-Mission with athletes documents 09 July 2016: Arrival and briefing of Medical team. 09 July 2016: Arrival and Registration of Teams 09 July 2016: Opening Ceremony at 17:00 at Sport Centre, Westville Campus July 2016: Participation at different venues 14 July 2016: Medal s presentation and different venues 14 July 2016: Closing Ceremony at 17:00 at Sport Centre, Westville Campus 15 July 2016: Departure of teams after breakfast

9 Football and Rugby invitational teams The invitational teams are based in Kwazulu- Natal and they will contest for glory like all the teams. Football: U/13 & U/17 B&G Rugby: U/15 B&G

10 ACCOMMODATION Athletes, coaches, Managers, doctors, physios, psychologist, provincial security personnel and bus drivers and volunteers will be accommodated at UKZN residences. Each room shall have: Bed, pillow, pillow case, sheet, duvet or blanket and padlock LOC, technical officials and scouts will be accommodated at a hotel closer to the playing venues. All participants will have breakfast and dinner at their respective accommodation venue. All breakages will be to the account of the Province. Provinces must provide toiletries for participants

12 SECURITY Security has been provided at residences and playing venues, however security cannot replace support and management of the teams. Breakages, fights and any matter that falls under security must be reported to the police. Athletes must at all times be accompanied by adults inside and outside of residences and playing venues. Team managers will be held liable to eventualities that might happen to learners.

14 ONLINE REGISTRATION Provinces are requested to register all participants online. Online registration opened on Monday 09 May 2016 and will be closed on Monday, 20 June Verification of provincial teams start on the 16 th May 27 th June 2016 All the information must be completed as per online template. National Federations and school Sport Structures must jointly agree on the list of Technical Officials before National federation register them online. Participants not registered online will not be accredited. Athletes, Coaches, Managers and GTM: Technical Officials, Scouts and Code Executives:

15 OPENING AND CLOSING CEREMONY Opening Ceremony will be held on Saturday, 09 th July 2016 at Sport Centre, Westville Campus, at 17:00 All participants must be seated by 16:00 Each Province must bring 250 participants for the Opening ceremony Each Province must wear Provincial Colours Marching banners shall be provided by SRSA/DBE Closing ceremony will be held on Thursday, 14 th July 2016 at Sport Centre, Westville Campus at 17:00 All participants must be seated by 16:00 Each Province must bring 250 participants for the Opening ceremony Each Province must wear Provincial Colours Marching banners shall be provided by SRSA/DBE

16 PARKING FOR OPENING AND CLOSING CEREMONY VAPP: Vehicle Access Pass Permit shall be provided to all invited guests upon their arrival. Guests parking shall be demarcated on the North of Sports Centre. Guests shall be welcomed and ushered to their seat for the ceremonies
