Please contact Janet if your details are not correct. If you are arriving at Faro on Thursday either David or Bryan will meet you at the airport and show you to the Budget car hire office. We have provided directions to Vale do Lobo below and when you arrive at the resort you will need to check in at the Resort Reception next to the Golf Reception. The collection of hire cars and journey to Vale do Lobo is always the most fraught part of the trip so please bear with us to help make it as smooth as possible. The reason that this trip involves a change of accommodation is because you must stay in the Dona Filipa Hotel to play San Lorenzo. 2 Our accommodation at Vale do Lobo is in the very well appointed apartments and rather than try to describe all the resort facilities here it is well worth visiting Dona Filipa Hotel - Sat 27 th, Sun 28 th Feb & Mon 1 st March Vale do Lobo, Almancil, Algarve, Portugal Telephone: (+351) The Dona Filipa Hotel is located on the Vale do Lobo resort within a few hundred yards of the Reception at Vale do Lobo. Our accommodation is in classic rooms. Golf: Fri 26 th Feb Royal Course tee times from 09.52am Sat 27 th Feb Monte Rei - tee times from 11.00am Sun 28 Feb San Lorenzo - tee times from 10.00am ** Mon 1 st Mar San Lorenzo - tee times from 10.00am ** ** Tee times at San Lorenzo were originally booked for 32 golfers from 10.00am and when we extended the booking the only available additional tee times were at 8.00 and 8.10am on Sunday and Monday. On Sunday these tee times will be given to the latest people to book unless someone else prefers to play early. On Monday the draw will be made in score order with the leaders playing last. Format: The scoring format each day will be individual stableford with full handicap allowance. All four rounds will count towards the 2010 Order of Merit. Handicap: handicap. Please bring your current handicap certificate as new members will be asked to show proof of Daily Draw: The draw for the first three rounds will be made in advance and the draw for the last round on Monday will be made in score order with the leaders going out last. The draw for the first round will be on the website by Wednesday lunchtime 24 th February. Prizes: There will be prizes for the leading three scores each day. The player with the best aggregate score over the five rounds will qualify for the 2010 UK Final. To be eligible to win this prize you must have previously played in a minimum of three VMA Tour events. To avoid any excess baggage charges prizes will be in the form of vouchers for the 2010 Tour as follows: Daily vouchers: 1 st - 70, 2 nd - 50, 3 rd - 30 Overall vouchers: 1 st - 125, 2 nd 75, 3 rd There will be an informal presentation dinner on Monday evening 1 st March. Sweep: There will be an optional sweep totaling 25Euros per person (approx 22) which will cover the 2 s sweep and the competition sweep for each of the 4 rounds plus the overall competition. The sweep will be collected on Friday morning before play starts. Dress: No formal dress is required. We recommend you bring your waterproofs and some warm clothing just in case the sun doesn t always shine on the Tour! Evening Socialising: Experience has shown that most people like to make their own arrangements for evening meals and there are plenty of options in the Vale do Lobo area. We will recommend a restaurant each day and anyone wishing to join us as a group is very welcome. Hire Car: We have arranged the hire cars through Budget who have a depot at the airport so the cars can be easily collected when you arrive at Faro and dropped off when you are departing. The package includes a car shared between two persons and people are arriving on different flights so we may ask you to wait a few minutes to share your car.

Contact:: David Hughes Bryan Bull Janet Directions to Vale do Lobo from Faro airport: As you leave the airport follow the blue signs for the A22 Portimao, Lisboa After approximately 3kms from the airport you will join the N125 From the N125 follow the signs for Almancil ( bear right after approx 7.5kms from airport and then again after 11.5kms ) In Almancil turn left at second set of lights. After a few hundred yards take the right fork following signs for Vale do Lobo. After approximately 3kms turn right at T-junction for Vale do Lobo. On Vale do Lobo complex follow signs for the Resort Reception where you will check in and be directed to your apartment.
