8 7 >10/161 (T) LOWER SEA SCHELDT - NORTH SEA TERMINAL - TEMPORARY MOORING PROHIBITION EXTENDED BaZ nr /123 (T) is cancelled. Because of the 2nd phase of the dredging activities, there is a mooring prohibition in the North Sea Terminal at quay S from mooring post 27 up to mooring post 44. A caisson will be used for that purpose, that is a steel construction which is installed against the wall, so that divers can carry out the repair more of less free of current. The works will last up to and including Sunday, 29 September, 2013, longer or shorter in duration depending on the progress of the works. During the works, only the contractor s vessels and floating gear will be allowed to moor in the area subject to the SVM s permission (VHF channel 63). Ample mooring prohibition signs will be installed on the quay wall, provided with apparent lighting in order to inform the vessels about the mooring prohibition. The use of the caisson for the diving operations will be specially illuminated, so as to indicate its position to shipping. The selective mooring prohibition in the Kanaaldok B3, in the North Sea Terminal at quay 703 up to and including 707 between mooring post 1 and mooring post 13 has been extended up to and including Sunday, 12 May, 2013, longer or shorter in duration depending on the progress of the works. Due to maintenance works at the museum cranes, there is a mooring prohibition at the Scheldt quays 28 between mooring post 314 and 330. The works will last until 08 March Signalization will be installed for the shipping.
