We expect the show to sell-out with cross-generational, diverse market appeal to help guarantee you reach your target audience. The show features Ben Tankard Live, named one of the most influential talents of our time! Ben Tankard is considered the Godfather of GospelJazz! Anyone who saw his sold-out arena show knows why he s one of the most buzzed-about performers. Ben Tankard has 15 Stellar Awards, 8 Dove Awards, and 3 Grammy Award Nominations. Opening the show will be the winner of the Red Cat Rising Star, Princess Williams followed by a performance by the Red Cat Jazz Preservation Society s Young Cats. A portion of proceeds received from the Amazing Red Cat Live Jazz Series will be disbursed to the 501(c) community organization, Bread of Life Ministries, which serves the needs of the Houston s homeless community. 7 About Bread of Life Bread of Life non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, Pastor Rudy and Juanita Rasmus have been providing solutions for the hungry and homeless in Houston, TX for the past 21 years. The Bread of Life serves 14,000 meals per month and through a Community Wide Food Fair and Senior Supplemental Food Program; they distribute 9 tons of fresh food and produce every Wednesday. Additional programs include medical services, job development and placement, case management, recovery groups, drug and alcohol counseling, life skills training, The Culinary Art Program, The Art Project Houston and the Knowles-Temenos Place Apartments. Red Cat Jazz Preservation Society The Red Cat Jazz Preservation Society, a 501(c) 3 non-profit corporation operating and governed by the laws of the State of Texas, started in 2009 to highlight the importance of maintaining the musical heritage of jazz. The Red Cat Jazz Preservation Society provides children win the surrounding communities with free music instruments and music-based college scholarships. All of our Jazz Educational Outreach Programs reach hundreds of elementary, middle and high school students each year throughout Houston and Galveston as well as the surrounding counties.
