2 Welcome Villa San Crispolto has a history behind it: San Crispolto was originally built in the 13th century. It was left to near ruin until 1998 when it was purchased and the process of reconstruction began. It is a rare historical discovery and a stunning example of accurate reconstruction techniques. Every detail has been carefully considered to maintain the authenticity of both the time and the sentiment of Saint Crispolto. Saint Crispolto was the first archbishop of Bettona during 58 AD and he is believed to have performed many miracles here in this community. San Crispolto is an exclusive historic villa, offering luxury accommodations between Orvieto and Siena, in Umbria close to Tuscany and other regions of Italy. Within easy driving distance are many important towns in Tuscany and Umbria such as Perugia, Assisi, Cortona, Montepulciano, Siena and Florence. And Rome is just 2.5 hours away. We strive to provide our guests with everything they need, including services that range from Tuscan cooking classes, wine tours and wine tastings to internet access and cellular phones. 4 Villa and apartments Originally built in the 13th century, the Villa offers 12 bedrooms, 9 with views of Lake Trasimeno and 3 with fireplaces. The villa is available as a whole with accommodations for 25 guests or as individual luxury apartment rentals and a new luxury Wedding Suite. The rooms are all furnished with local antiques from Tuscany and Umbria befitting the history of the house. All furniture is antique starting with the 1850 armoires, the queen sized beds and the fireplaces adorned with ancient fresco etc. The personality of the living areas is highly distinctive: eighteenth-century wooden doors and terracotta floors. The oversized gourmet kitchen boasts both original design and modern conveniences: very well equipped, it has two ovens and two stove tops each with four burners, plus a large fridge and separate freezer. There are nine full bathrooms, including one with handicap access; all bathrooms feature antique marble sink and hand-painted tiles. There is satellite TV in the living room area. The walls of the Villas are graced with paintings and sculptures from ancient artists. Domestic services available at San Crispolto include a private, professional chef and housekeeping services. This property is equipped with two washing machine and one dryer. Our staff is detail oriented, and organized so that we uphold your high standards and maintain your privacy.

6 Wedding Suite The wedding suite we are offering now to our clients used to be our residence. At the ground floor of our former apartment one can see the Chappell of San Crispolto while at the first floor the wedding suite is placed. An apartment of 140 square metres, the "Wedding Suite" is made of a luxury bedroom with an unique antique bed, a gorgeous bathroom with a double sink made of old marble original from Carrara, a bathtub and a shower, an enormous wardrobe room and an antique fire place ideal for cold autumn night there is nothing more romantic than sitting in front of the fire place with the person you love, drink a glass of wine and make plans about the future. What makes it really special and out of the ordinary is that while you re comfortably sitting on the bed, you have a sort of double view: from one part you can take a look outside the window and admire the view of the lake while in front of you, you can see the frescoes of the Chappell. The "Wedding Suite" can be rented also for less than a week, from 1 to 7 nights. The wedding suite is all this and so much more it is extremely luxurious and appropriate for all tastes it is ideal to create that atmosphere that gives you butterflies in your stomach. It s like an old castle and believe me, the atmosphere will involve you... what we really hope for is that you remember your wedding night for the rest of you life.

9 Gardens and Pools The gardens of San Crispolto are the special attraction of the Villa: we are happy to have found a way to include many varieties of plant life that best represent the tone and era of the Villa itself. The front gates are highlighted with the famous local Cypress trees seen throughout Tuscany and Umbria as well as deep red rose bushes, awarded olive groves, fragrant rosemary and lavender bushes curving along the walkways and sloping grounds. The trunks of the centuries old olive trees serve as beautiful, private sanctuaries for the new married couple with stunning views of Lake Trasimeno. Behind the villa you can see the pool area hidden by the olives along a stone path: both the path and the swimming pool are illuminated for evening swims. Around the pool patio you will find some potted flowers and herbs as well as built in speakers that connect to the stereo in the main house for your convenience. The deck area gardens overlook the eastern side of the lake and one of it's major islands, Isola Polvese. The deck itself is divided into two areas, separated by pomegranate trees and colourful geraniums. The first part of the deck is covered in lush grass with plenty of space for relaxing. The second part of the deck is covered in ancient stones and offers benches and tables available for private sunning, meals and socializing. Enjoy a 360 degree view that encompasses Lake Trasimeno and its three islands, the surrounding countryside and the town of Passignano sul Lago.

11 Our marquee This structure, measuring 5 x 18 meters (16.4 x 59') for a total area of 90 square meters (nearly 970 sq. ft), can comfortably accommodate groups of people. This extremely elegant structure is cream on the outside and the ceiling inside is lined with exquisite cream-colored plissé fabric. It is equipped with four chandeliers that are fitted with speakers for background music during the dinner and at the party afterwards. The floor is made of antique terracotta and the structure has sliding glass walls. It can be opened completely during the summer but closed quickly in case of bad weather and during the winter. Since it can be heated, it can be used year-round to add a touch of elegance to your reception. The interior offers a stunning view of the olive grove below, the green hills, our marvelous garden and Lake Trasimeno in the background. It s like staying outside because due to its glass sliding doors you can enjoy the view but at the same time you are absolutely protected from sun, rain or wind.

13 Location Villa San Crispolto is located on a forested hillside in Umbria, close to the border of Tuscany. The villa s border location is ideal, offering you a selection of day trip destinations ranging from the wine county of Chianti in Tuscany to the hill towns of Umbria. The nearby highway offers quick access to many local attractions. The city of Perugia, with its Etruscan interior and Roman exterior is only 15 minutes to the East. The famous town of Cortona in Tuscany is only 15 minutes to the West. Arezzo, Siena, Assisi, Todi and Orvieto are just a few of the many beautiful places reachable within thirty minutes. There are many different types of excursions that you can have. Cultural festival and special saint s days celebrations go on throughout the year. The local food and wine events include harvest festivals and Perugia hosts the worldwide famous Euro chocolate each autumn instead, in the summer you can enjoy the music festivals. The most famous one is Umbria Jazz in July and Umbria Classic in August. Sports club, 2 full 18 hole golf courses, many tennis facilities, a squash club, horseback riding and paragliding are in the immediate area. In addition, Villa San Crispolto organizes wine tours in some of the most important wine producing areas of Tuscany. By car: From POINTS NORTH, including Milan and Florence Airport: Follow the green Autostrada signs to the A1, directions Roma. From POINTS SOUTH, including Rome* and Naples: Follow the green Autostrada signs to the A1, direction Firenze-Milano. IN EITHER CASE, EXIT THE A1 AT VALDICHIANA Exit the A1 at Val di Chiana and pay the toll. After the tollbooth, take a right, following signs marked Perugia to the Perugia Superstrada. Exit the Perugia Superstrada at Passignano Ovest. After 50 meters from the exit, turn right following the signs Passignano. After 2300 meters turn left following the signs "Hotel La Vela". After 30 meters turn left following the sign "Posta". After 200 meters turn right at the "WOODEN CROSS". After 400 meters turn left following the sign " Via San Crispolto". After 700 meters you will see at your right "Villa San Crispolto"

16 Special event services San Crispolto provides a truly memorable setting for all types of events such as weddings, renewal of vows, baptisms and birthdays. The marquee itself can comfortably accommodate 80 people for the wedding reception. The gardens and panoramic views provide a natural colourful backdrop so that for most occasions no additional decorating is necessary. Upon request, we can offer to our guests: DSL lines, cellular telephones, satellite TVs, on site specialty catering and lists of special services providers such as lighting, electrical equipment, office equipment rentals, etc. Our private, spacious grounds may provide the perfect setting for both celebratory and professional events such as workshops or seminars. The living room, kitchen and some garden areas allow for professional meetings in a non-traditional setting. The kitchen itself is perfect for cooking lessons and special local tasting events. In the living room areas and outside, onto the house itself, films may be projected for production projects.
