2 Air Conditioners for Cabinets STULZ with Predator Evolution line offers you a complete range of professional air conditioners for telecom shelters and other enclosures. Predator Evolution line includes the AC powered version and the 48VDC version. The 48VDC version is particularly suitable for telecom cabinets powered by renewable energy sources, such as solar or windpower, or to be powered by battery backup, so is not necessary to use an inverter. In addition the units can also have a Free Cooling system, which allows a further considerable reduction of energy costs. D-mark DEMKO CERTIFICATE

3 Predator Evolution is available with or without a Free Cooling system. Both versions can be installed: inside the cabinets, when there s the need to protect the air conditioner; outside, to use the full space inside the cabinet; in semi-recessed position with the fixing frame accessory. FREE COOLING COMPRESSOR Free Cooling The telecommunications airconditioning is essential for the continuity of the data flow, but the traditional comfort air-conditioners absorb more than 30% of the total amount of energy. The STULZ energy-efficient air-conditioning solutions, based on direct Free Cooling, provides the best solution for energy costs saving. Due to the direct use of external air, whenerver it is at a lower temperature than the inside, the telecommunications sites cooling is for free. In free cooling the intake fan is the only component in use; the compressor, energy-intensive element, is only switched when absolutely necessary.

5 C100: an intelligent control for energy saving C100 is the Predator Evolution microprocessor electronic control. It consists in an internal I/O card; it s also possible to connect a keypad with display, wall mounted, to display information and change the adjustment parameters. Working ways direct expansion cooling, activating the compressor; free cooling, through the modulation of the damper integrated in the conditioner, adjusting the free cooling capacity to the inside thermal load; emergency ventilation, when the principal supply is missing and the evaporator fans are at 48 VDC heating, if the units have electric resistors. Energy saving the speed of the evaporator fan can be decreased to a set value whenever there s no need of the heating and neither of cooling. adjustment to variable outside temperatures; the condenser fan adjusts its speed to steady the condensation temperature, always guaranteeing maximum efficiency with the change of external temperature; hot working: special function to favour the compressor start under conditions of critical temperatures, typical of the start-ups in warm geographical areas. Single Alarm Management each alarm can be addressed to one of the two control digital exits, in order to supply to the external supervision PLC a free voltage signal; it s possible to set-up each alarm in 5 gravity levels, and choose an automatic, manual (service intervention needed) or mixed reset. External devices connection Two digital outputs available to send remote enabling signals or smoke-fire to the C100, through external devices. Simplified Start-up Semiautomatic function to test the correct components running, simplifying the start-up operations. Parameters Setting the parameters are organized in a tree menu, divided in component / functions, to simplify the configuration; the single parameters are protected by 3 levels of password: user, service, manufacturer. Flash EPROM to simplify the software configuration and updating planning of the units through laptop; hardware key to upload and download the software without a laptop and to copy quickly the configuration on other units.

7 C110 Electronic Control C110 is the Predator Evolution 48VDC microprocessor electronic control.
