Poetry (30 marks) You must learn all of the poems you have done this year. You will be tested on two of them. You will also have to answer an unseen poetry question. 2. Novel- The kite runner(50 marks) 1x contextual question 1x essay question

2 PAPER 3 TIME 2 hours TOTAL MARK 100 There are 2 components to paper Essay You must know the four types of essays we discussed in class. You will have to write one essay of 50 marks. Types of essays to learn: 1. Narrative 2. Discursive 3. Relective 4. Descriptive Transactional writing You must learn all of the following formats.you will be tested on two of them. 1. Diary entry 2. 3 SUBJECT GEOGRAPHY GRADE 10 TIME 2 Hours TOTAL MARK 140 Learners must answer all questions Question 1 Short objective type questions for 10 marks to cover content on the Atmosphere and Geomorphology. Atmosphere for 60 marks Question 2 Total: 70 Short objective type questions for 10 marks to cover content on the Atmosphere and Geomorphology. Geomorphology for 60 marks Total: 70

4 PAPER 2 TIME 1 Hour 30 Min. TOTAL MARK 60 You will receive a 1 : orthophoto and a 1 : topographical map. The structure is as follows : 1. Basic map skills study bearing, direction, distance, area, profiles, gradient, intervisibility, co-ordinates(latitude and Longitude),map codes etc. NB: All general geographic skills. Also, you must be able to locate features from a map/photo and draw them onto a sketch map.all calculations included. 2. Theory component involves : micro-climate, geomorphology, economic activities(primary secondary and tertiary), rural and urban settlement and environmental despoliation. 3. Vertical and oblique photos. 4. Geographical Information Systems Question Paper Structure: Question 1 Multiple choice questions (10 marks) Question 2 Map calculations (20 marks) Question 3 Analysis and interpretation of a topographic map and a photograph, and application of theory (20 marks) Question 4 GIS (10 marks) NB : This paper is mainly skills based and will require application of formuli as well as interpretative skills.
