SAP Fiori UX is the new face of SAP to business users in all lines of business across devices and deployment options. 18 SAP Fiori launchpad SAP Fiori Launchpad is a role based, personalize, real-time and contextual aggregation point for business applications and analytics. It runs on multiple devices, using the responsive design paradigm, and is deployable on multiple platforms. It is designed according to the simple and intuitive SAP Fiori user experience, while supporting established UI technologies.

20 SAP Fiori User Authentication & Supported SSO Initial Authentication When a user launches an SAP Fiori app from the Launchpad, the ABAP front-end server authenticates the user using the following single sign on (SSO) mechanisms provided by SAP NetWeaver X,509 certificates SAP logon tickets SAML 2.0 SPNEGO / Kerberos Authentication for requests in the Back-end Systems After initial authentication, requests is sent to the ABAP back-end server and/or to SAP HANA. Transactional apps and Factsheet apps Odata requests through ABAP front-en server towards the ABAP back-end server. After initial authentication, a secure session is established between the client and the ABAP front-end server. OData requests towards the ABAP back-end server are then communicated securely by trusted RFC. Search in SAP Fiori Launchpad (Factsheet apps & HANA Db) Send http/ina requests to the client to the ABAP back-end server. These requests can be authenticated only with SAP logon tickets or X.509 client
