In addition it provides customers the ability to define their own, individualized KPIs based on SAP HANA Live or other data sources. Based on threshold calculations the end user gets alerted as soon as a KPI value becomes critical. The end user can freely arrange his KPIs and other tiles based on the Fiori launchpad. Drill-down SAP provides a standard drill-down to analyze critical KPIs in real time. The drill-down configuration can be easily adapted by simple configuration. 20 How to create KPIs Pre-requisites Pre-requisites: Before you can define your KPIs please make sure to prepare the following: Installation and configuration of SAP Smart Business according to the administration guide. The necessary view(s) in SAP HANA Live including an OData service o KPI view: Create a HANA Live query view sap.hba.«vdm»::firstkpiquery that serves as KPI view (FirstKPI is just a placeholder name). Alternatively, create a KPI view sap.hba.r.«vdm»::firstkpiquery on top of an existing HANA Live public view. o OData service: Create one OData service for all KPI views for a group of KPIs. All KPIs that belong to the same application component are grouped together. OData services are created with a repository object. You can protect the folder containing the OData service with an application privilege. The necessary authorizations for KPI modeling apps and SAP HANA Live o KPI Modeler: PFCG roles /UI2/SAP_KPIMOD_TCR_S and /UI2/SAP_KPIFRW5_TCR_S o SAP HANA Studio: Create a role that grants the select privilege for the KPI view and the application privilege for the OData service. sap.hba.r.sb.core.roles::sap_smart_business_modeler sap.hba.r.sb.core.roles::sap_smart_business_runtime Configuration of the Fiori launchpad Remarks: 1. 21 SAP Smart Business Create KPI ID: Enter the unique identifier for the KPI, e.g. *.hba.ps.overduemilestone. Please do not use the sap namespace sap.* Title: Enter the title that is displayed in the KPI runtime. You can maintain this title in multiple languages. Type: You can choose between KPIs and OPIs. KPIs are used to manage your company s performance while OPIs are more operational and only relevant for some groups. Goal Type: Please choose between maximizing, minimizing and a specific range. Owner name: Defines the name of the KPI owner Owner ID / Enter the ID and or the of the KPI owner Properties: You can add one or multiple properties to classify the KPI Data source: Here you can define the SAP HANA View, OData service, Entity set and measure that defines the KPI Semantic Object/Action: A semantic object can be specified for the KPI, this will be used for navigation targets other than the standard drill-down. The semantic object must be the name in the global field catalog of the KPI measure, e.g. DaysSalesOutstanding. If no semantic object is defined the standard drill-down is used automatically. From a process perspective a business user can maintain all metadata of the KPI, save the draft and hand it over to a technical user / administrator to define the data source information. As soon as all information are maintained you can save and activate the KPI. Please use save if you want to save an inactive draft for review SAP SE or an SAP affiliate company. All rights reserved. 23 SAP Smart Business Create evaluation 2/2 Target, Threshold and Trend Value Type: This field indicates the value type (e.g. fixed value or a specific measure) for the target, threshold and trend definition below Reference value: The reference value can be used to define a goal or reference value (e.g. spend versus overall budget). This field will be used in upcoming releases. Depending on the improvement direction (Target, Minimize, maximize) the following attributes can be maintained (optional) as threshold values. Critical (low/high): Warning (low/high): Target: Threshold for red KPI color Threshold for yellow KPI color Target value Example: If your KPI is of type maximizing KPI and expected value is above 15, provide critical value 10 and target value 20. This means, if the KPI value goes below 10, it turns RED. If the value is above 20, it turns GREEN You can activate the evaluation by pressing save and activate. Furthermore you can directly navigate to the tile visualization configuration from this screen. Remark: If you use measure as value type you can benchmark against dynamic threshold calculations, e.g. current revenue compared to last year at the same time SAP SE or an SAP affiliate company. 24 SAP Smart Business Configure KPI tiles (1/2) The app Configure KPI tiles shows all active KPIs in the tree on the left. As soon as you select a specific KPI you can create new KPI tile visualizations or change existing ones. - You can add new KPI visualizations by pressing the button add - You can select and change a KPI visualizations via the edit button. - You can select and delete a KPI visualizations via the delete button. - You can activate a KPI tile via the activate button. This button only appears if the KPI tile is inactive SAP SE or an SAP affiliate company. All rights reserved. Internal 24

25 SAP Smart Business Configure KPI tiles (2/2) After pressing add or edit you can choose the relevant KPI visualization. The following default tile types are supported: Numeric Tile Comparison Tile Trend Tile Actual vs. Target Tile Maintain the input fields as follows: Tile (KPI): This is the title of the KPI tile. The KPI description is inherited, but can be overwritten Subtitle: This is the subtitle of the KPI. The evaluation description is inherited, but can be overwritten Keywords: Free-text field Dimension: Only required for comparison and trend tile as a second dimension Sorting Order: Only required for comparison tile. Defines the sort orders of the bars. Drill-down: Via the radio button you can choose if the standard drill-down or any alternative drill-down is used. Optionally you can overwrite the semantic object from the KPI definition. You can activate the tile visualization by pressing save and activate. Furthermore you can directly navigate to the drilldown configuration from this screen. Remark: You can publish multiple KPIs using the same KPI Visualization type and differentiate them with the title/ subtitle SAP SE or an SAP affiliate company. All rights reserved. Internal 25

As soon as you select a specific KPI evaluation you can create new drill-down configurations or change existing ones. The icons at the top (1) influence the filters in the drill-down. The pencil icon in the light blue area (2) configures the micro charts in the header bar. Via the icons (3) above the chart visualization the user can change or delete the selected view, change the order of the views and add new views. 33 SAP Smart Business Manage KPI associations The app shows all active KPIs in the tree on the left. As soon as you select a specific KPI you can create new association or change existing ones. Associated KPI: Enter the KPI that is related to the selected one. Association Type: Defines how the KPIs are related to each other, e.g. supporting or conflicting The section direction shows all existing KPI associations and their direction. You can switch the association direction by pressing the icon on the right side. Name and value properties: Here you can enter additional attributes for the KPI association. In the current release this information is not relevant. The app allows you to define and change KPI associations. KPI associations help to define and visualize dependencies between different KPIs. Associated KPIs can be used and displayed in the header area of the KPI drill-down. 34 SAP Smart Business Manage KPI authorizations 1/2 The app shows all active KPI evaluations in the tree on the left. As soon as you select a specific KPI evaluation you can display and change the existing authorizations. The details area on the right shows the existing authorizations based on users and roles. Via the button Authorize users and roles you can change the existing authorizations. The app Manage KPI authorizations defines the KPI authorizations in HANA for users and roles. Select the KPIs to migrate Remark: The evaluation ID can t be changed later anymore.
