Having said that, one of our clients (well established brand) is looking for graduates to join their organisation on a 12 month internship programme. 12 Month internship opportunities 1) CONTENT INTERN Be a national from either Zimbabwe or Zambia or Botswana. 3 year qualification in either media studies/ TV or Drama Must have a permanent residency or dual citizenship or a work permit with at least months left from now to expire. NB!!! STRICTLY NO MEDIA/DRAMA OR TV EXPERIENCE NEEDED Support and assist the Commissioning Editors Originate, develop and commission innovative new programmes Generate ideas and identify fresh territories and themes for exploration Knowledge and understanding of recent broadcasting output, audience, schedule, presentation, and strategic vision Excellent understanding of legal/compliance guidelines Receive tapes and FCC sheets and music cues (SAMRO norm) Record tape number and details Share/Distribute tape info Deliver physical tape to library Conclude Wipe and reloads Follow up with production houses

STRICTLY NO EXPERIENCE IN MARKETING NEEDED Capture the block schedule from Macro schedule to the Micro schedule across the channel Send schedule for Programme check and update/correct as required Print and deliver log to TX Producer and Presentation Schedule Manager Manage Promo Content Check and Verify accuracy of delivered Promos, On-Air elements and Status Populate Business systems with promo and On-Air element data Schedule Promos/Barters/sponsorships/Fillers Insert Promos and Fillers to Micro schedule according to Media plan Develop and Implement Cross Promo Strategy Develop and Implement Barters/Sponsorship Strategy Write up and distribute EPG for all programming Download the log Capture the block schedule from Macro schedule to the Micro schedule across the channel Send schedule for Programme check and update/correct as required

YOU MUST NOT HAVE ANY HR RELATED EXPERIENCE Training administration managed properly (registers, training evaluation forms, confirming payments, booking of courses up to date, venue logistics, ensure provider needs are met, dietary requirements, cancellations, postponements, etc.) Provide error-free reports timeously to customers. Update and maintain the Training database, Bursary database, Intern database, Workforce planning, etc.

4 Manage administration and coordination of all bursary applications from submission to payment (check contract, signed by the relevant stakeholders, relevant documents submitted, ensure invoice is paid, forward proof of payment to recipients, load on Bursary database, follow up for results, etc.) Administration managed for invoice payments, capturing on the relevant databases, receipt of monthly reports from the providers and Mentors, tracking spend from interco transfers, receipt of registers, filing, reporting, etc. Manage training administration and bookings (registers, training evaluation forms, invoice payments, booking of courses, booking of venue, catering, etc.) Source relevant training in line with business and individual needs and in line with budget. Evaluate and assess training interventions. Ensure alignment with training legislation i.e. Skills Development Act, SSP, etc. Create and maintain the training activity records for staff, both manually and within the HR / Training database system, ensuring information is accurate and up-to-date and produce the necessary reports. Compile divisional and company monthly training report Responsible for data integrity of all training data Assist with critical information for the compilation of the B-BBEE Scorecard and the WSP & ATR Assist with the selection of reputable and accredited training providers, by use of the company s criteria checklist. Provide necessary support to the team as and when require 4) RESEARCH ARCHIVIST INTERN

5 3 or 4 year qualification in Information & Knowledge Management/ Media Studies/ Dramatic Arts/ Audiovisual related qualification An excellent understanding of customer service/service excellence Passion for the media industry Knowledge of Copyright Laws and Rights Management will be an advantage Knowledge of pre and post-production environment including video editing will be an advantage The efficient and effective execution of client requests and timely responses to enquiries and requests Full compliance to copyright and rights management issues and advise client of royalty free / rights cleared content for re-use and/or re-purposing purposes Effective quality control of relevant activities to meet client expectations Provide a comprehensive and customer orientated multi-media research and archive service for customers making use of online, external and multi-media resources and digital server technology. Liaise with the Television Archives and Media Co-ordinators to ensure consistent and relevant selection and archiving of content. Search, retrieve and prepare required clips for clients and facilitate on-site previewing of footage if required. In-depth content searches and relevant research for channels and clients i.t.o. available archive footage and information Ensure optimal customer satisfaction 5) ARCHIVIST INTERN: PORTUGUESE 3 or 4 year qualification in Information & Knowledge Management/ Media Studies/ Dramatic Arts/ Audio-visual related qualification.

6 Must have Portuguese (understand, speak and write). Passion for the media industry Active involvement in cataloguing projects to ensure a comprehensive and accurate collection Catalogue ingested content to the pre-determined level of granularity Create a bibliographic description for all local programme material. Create an accurate and appropriate abstract of the content of a programme or insert. Assign appropriate keywords from an in-house thesaurus for effective retrieval Catalogue programme content, shot, scene and image by analyzing and assessing the nature of the programme, shot, scene or image (copyright, duration, etc.) Shot list and tag all third party stock footage (assign Copyright Warnings where applicable) Provide all relevant information regarding ownership and re-use of third party stock footage. Edit, catalogue and store selected valuable raw footage Stock footage processing and selection from raw materials (production shoot tapes) by identifying and selecting usable royalty and clearance free stock footage from productions shoot tapes.
