3 A natural-born cook and an accomplished expert on wine, tequila & olive oil Doreen is a Level 1 & 2 Certified Sommelier with Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET), Level 1 with the Court of Master Sommelier and Level 1 & 2 with US Sommelier Association. She has also studied at the École du Vin in Bordeaux, France and has traveled to more than 25 wine regions around the world. She studied in culinary schools in NY, CA and graduated in FL. Doreen had traveled to more than 40 countries and visited more 10 olive oil regions around the world. She also has a BBA in Business Administration & Marketing. Doreen supports Slow Food USA and has a certification with USA Certified Angus Beef. She also studied food & wine in Italy, Mexico, Greece and Spain.

6 Multimedia platform - TV Doreen hosts frequent cooking segments on Univisión show Despierta América and Telemundo show Un Nuevo Día airing nationally. Doreen was the chef of the 2015 Univisión health campaign Reto28 hosted by Dr. Juan Rivera. This national project was a 5 weeks massive campaign (diet) encouraging Latinos to have a healthier life. This campaign was supported by the John Hopkins Hospital and the American Heart Association. Doreen designed all the recipes for the 28 days program and achieved more than half a million program subscribers. Doreen hosted cooking segments and shows on Fox Life / Utilísima channel, airing in over 16 countries for 5 years. Some of those shows are currently airing in Mundo Fox.

With more than 2 million readers bi-monthly, her articles & recipes has been successfully published for more than 6 years. Doreen also has a food and wine column in more than 25 national & international newspapers and magazines including Toronto Hispano Canadá, El Mundo Boston, La Raza, El Vocero, El Miami Herald, Manjar República Dominicana, El Diario NY, La Opinión Los Angeles, El Tiempo Latino Washington, Europa Press España, Su Médico México, among others. Her articles and recipes have been published in Latina, Terra, The Latin Kitchen, Washington Post, Cosmo for Latinas, MSN, NBC, Yahoo, Bottle Notes, and The Gourmet Journal.

She also designed recipes for Nestle and hosted an online campaign with her recipes. In January 2015 she became the Hispanic Celebrity Chef for the National Pork Board. Doreen hosted a massive national media tour with her recipes featuring pork. The campaign launched in February at the SOBE Food Network Wine & Food Fest in Miami, FL with several cooking demos and presentations. Since 2013 she is National Hispanic Celebrity Chef for Novo Nordisk pharmaceutical, a world leader in diabetes care. Doreen is the first Latina celebrity chef for Novo Nordisk. She is helping the Diabetic community in the US, a very important mission for Doreen. During 2013 & 2016 she has done more than 70 live cooking shows in English & Spanish around the US.

Doreen was their only bilingual and bicultural ambassador for 2 years. She designed recipes infused with Latin & Italian flavors featuring Bumble Bee s gourmet Prime Fillet products and helped extend Bumble Bee s BeeWell for Life brand philosophy to encourage consumers to exercise and live a healthy and active life. Also in 2013, she became the first Hispanic Celebrity Chef for Bordeaux Wine Council, the most important and prestigious wine region in the world. Doreen was their spokesperson and consultant, helping Bordeaux connect with the growing U.S. Hispanic market and educating them via the Viva Bordeaux campaign. She created flavorful Latin recipes paired with 5 Bordeaux wines. National and international media successfully covered the campaign.
