3 Direct Entry Graduate Programme (DEG) The Direct Entry Graduate Programme is a two-year (or three years for Finance) programme that combines structured placements in technical or support functions with focused training. This programme will give you the chance to enjoy a great future at Airbus. From the beginning of the programme, you will be assigned to a particular function or target area and will be guided through the various placement opportunities that exist within your function, the wider business and sometimes with customers and suppliers. The programme is UK-based, but the placements you choose may give you the chance to work at other Airbus sites in Europe or with customers and suppliers globally. This practical experience is complemented by a number of valuable training programmes covering the following topics: behavioural development and personal effectiveness, business awareness and technical understanding and cultural awareness. You will also be given a senior level career mentor who will offer guidance and support during your career progression, as well as a buddy DEG from the previous year s intake to provide extra support. Our graduates are encouraged and supported to achieve chartership status. The DEG Programme provides opportunities around these key business areas: Engineering o Flight Physics o Fuel Systems o Structures o Landing Gear Systems Programme Planning Facilities Finance Human Resources Lean Operations Procurement Programme & Project Management Supply Chain Logistics Quality Requirements: This Programme is open to graduate applicants from the UK and overseas, provided you meet the eligibility criteria of our programme. All candidates must be educated to degree standard and fluent in written and oral English. For engineering roles, graduates must generally hold either an accredited Masters degree or have an accredited Bachelors degree and completed a 12 month internship with Airbus. All candidates must be able to start work with Airbus on 23 September We are now accepting applications for positions on our 2013 Direct Entry Graduate Programme. 4 EADS Trainee Programme PROGRESS PROGRESS is a two-year programme structured around Technical and Support Function activities. The Technical stream includes fields like Engineering, Programmes, Supply Chain, IT, Quality, Customer Services or Manufacturing (around 70% of positions) while the Support Function stream is focused on functional areas such as Procurement, Finance, Human Resources, Strategy, Business Development or Marketing and Sales (around 30% of positions). In both steams you will work on challenging projects and tasks. On completion of the programme, you ll have the opportunity to transfer to another country and/or division. Throughout the programme you will gain a general overview of the product portfolio as well as essential insights into the operations of your chosen function. In addition, through working on cross-functional, crosscountry and/or cross-divisional business projects you will increase your knowledge and networking opportunities. Through workshops and shop-floor experience, one-to-one training and networking events you will gain a thorough understanding of EADS and valuable professional contacts worldwide. You will also benefit from the support of a Senior Manager as a personal mentor who will provide valuable guidance throughout the programme. Requirements PROGRESS is designed for graduates and professionals with a maximum of three years professional experience (including internships longer than 6 months) and a minimum of twelve months experience abroad. You should also fulfil the following requirements: English fluency - any additional language skills are a plus Excellent academic background Very good communication skills Strong team player Creative and innovative flair Desire for international mobility Passion for engineering and technology There is no restriction regarding age or nationality. PROGRESS is open for all the international (EU and non- EU) candidates within any age range, as long as they fulfil the mentioned above criteria. The application period for PROGRESS 2013 is now open.
