3 Ⅰ. What is HQM Downloader? There are a couple of ways to download music data and document files you purchase from the HQM Store. You can download music to your computer using any web browser. But when you use your web browser you may need some patience, because you have to repeat downloading track by track, or file by file. Especially when the download is too much information at a time, or internet speed is slow, it will take a long time to complete. You may feel it inconvenient that you cannot leave the computer until the end of whole process. Another way is to use the download manager rather than the download function of the web browser. Many download managers are available as freeware and you can avoid the inconvenience of a conventional web browser. But this method is not for everyone, because a certain level of computer skill is necessary for installing and setting up the third party download manager. There is also the issue that compatibility with the HQM server is not guaranteed. For these reasons, the HQM Store introduces a downloader exclusively developed for the HQM Store customer. The HQM Downloader makes downloading easy for everyone who wants efficient downloading of music from the HQM Store but does not have specialized computer skills. Features of the HQM Store original downloader: One click for all downloads: Unlike the method for standard web browser, you do not have to download files one by one. Just click once for all downloads. One click to start: The Downloader can launch from the Download Listpage in the HQM Store, as well as from the shortcut menu on the desktop, without opening the web browser. Easy to use: Because the Downloader is for the HQM Store, there is no complicated setup as with a free third party downloader. It is simple, easy, and requires no special computer skills. 3

Especially when the download is too much information at a time, or internet speed is slow, it will take a long time to complete.

4 Download log: It stores download history in customer s computer for a certain period of time. This helps when tracking problems occur during downloads. The HQM Downloader is exclusively developed for downloading from the HQM Store. It cannot be used for other purposes. II. The Basics 1. When Using HQM Downloader for the First Time 1) Install Program The HQM Downloader works with Adobe Air. You need to have two programs, HQM Downloader and Adobe Air installed to your computer to start downloads. First check if your computer already has Adobe Air. Since this is a standard program provided by Adobe, there is a strong possibility that you already have it with other applications. If your computer does not have Adobe Air, go to i) for the next step. If your computer has Adobe Air, go to ii). (1) If you do not have Adobe Air on your computer i) When purchase of music is complete, it will appear in the DownloadList. ii) Click HQM Downloader at the banner on the left side of the page. (Fig.1) iii) Click Install in response to the message, Do you want to install this application to your computer? (Fig. 2) iv) Click Continue in response to the message, Configuring the installation. 5 v) Click Agree in response to the Terms of the Agreement from Adobe. (Fig. 4) vi).fill in the address and password that you registered with the HQM Store in the username and password dialogue box, and click Login. When Using HQM Downloader for the Second Time and After 1) Installing the Program You do not have to install a new program (as you have already done so). 2.)Download Content i) When purchase of music is complete, Download List appears. ii) Click HQM Downloader in the banner on the left side of the page. (Fig. 16) iii) Find titles in the List section of Downloader, and click Download. (Fig. 17) The status window (Fig. 18) will appear, and the download will start. 14 Fig18 Fig19 III. Beyond the Basics 1. Change Location to Save i) If you want to change the location to save files, first click Settings on the List page. (Fig. 20) ii) To change the location, click "Change" (Fig. 21). 14

16 2. Pause Downloading i) If you want to pause downloading, click Pause on the Status page. (Fig. 22) ii) The Pause button will change to a Resume button. To resume downloading, click Resume. (Fig. 23) Fig22 Fig23 16

17 3. Abort and Restart Downloading i) If you want to abort downloading, click Abort on the Status page. (Fig. 24) ii)click OK if you want to continue aborting the download. (Fig. 26) iii) If you want to resume downloading after aborting, you must restart HQM Downloader. You may restart Downloader by double clicking the shortcut icon on the desktop without opening the browser iv) Once resumed, the download of the aborted file will be repeated from the top. v) When resumed, download of files already downloaded will be automatically excluded. vi) The list of associated files under each title can be shown by clicking the title name on the List page. (Fig. 26) vii) If the checkbox left of the file name is checked, the file is available to download. viii) If the checkbox left of the file name is blank, the file is already downloaded. (Fig. 27) ix) If the file is already downloaded, the file can be downloaded again within 48 hours after the first download. To do so, check the box to change the status. x) The status of the music data file can be changed no later than 48 hours after the first download. (However, files other than music data, such as booklets and jacket images, can be downloaded repeatedly with no time restriction.) 17

v) When resumed, download of files already downloaded will be automatically excluded. vi) The list of associated files under each title can be shown by clicking the title name on the List page. (Fig.

22 7. Clear Your Login Information HQM Downloader works with Adobe Air. Your login information such as address and password will not be cleared if HQM Downloader is uninstalled, because these are stored in Adobe Air.
