The Island is approx 8km x 5km in size however its Volcanic Outcrops, Rugged Coastline and patches of Rainforests with narrow roads make every bit of it intriguing. With a summer temperature at night of 18 degrees and up to 27 degrees during the day with mild sea breezes blowing almost continuously. Everything is moderately priced with its Duty Free Shopping. First discovered in 1774 by Captain James Cook with its first Settlers, including convicts arriving 1788, it soon had a population of 1000 people until It then became unoccupied until 1826 where it was then used once again for convicts until In 1856 the whole population from Pitcairn Island which consisted of 194 persons became the Third Settlement. It now has a population of approx 2000 people which consists of Pitcairn Descendants. Thursday 28 th October, 2021 Depart ute 3.30pm & travel to the Atura Adelaide Airport Hotel. For those not travelling on the Coach we will meet you at 6.00pm at the Hotel reception & all check in for our overnight stay. Dinner at own Expense. Friday 29 th October D We have an early wake up & roll call before we check in for our 6am QANTAS flight to connect with Air New Zealand for our flight to Norfolk Island. Our ticket includes all inclusive drinks, snacks & entertainment with Air New Zealand. We arrive Norfolk early afternoon & have an early Dinner after we check into our Hotel. 7 Nights: South Pacific Resort Hotel Norfolk Island Ph: Sat 30 th October After breakfast a chance to check out the shops in the morning and in the afternoon a Half Day Orientation Tour. This evening after Dinner at our Hotel we experience Wonderland by Night. The setting is 10 acres of magical Norfolk pines & bushland lit up like an Enchanted Forest. Meander along (or ride in the moon buggy ) a winding pathway with Archie, a Descendant of the ounty mutineers, as he recites his poems and lights up the Dioramas. Sun 31 st October This morning we visit the Markets & in the afternoon a Convict Settlement Tour. We will visit the Historic Georgian Settlement of Kingston. Walk through the cemetery and hear the history of interesting convict and colonial headstones. Also hear stories of the houses along Quality Row. Walk through the ruins of the New Goal, see the Pier Store, oat Shed and the Crank Mill. Tonight after Dinner you have an opportunity to visit the All Saints Church for an evening service & popular singalong of favourite hymns & songs.
2 Mon 1 st November Today we enjoy a Glass ottom oat cruise (weather permitting) in the sheltered waters of Emily ay viewing coral & fish with our informative Guide. We visit the Pitcairn Settlers Village & ride on Norfolk`s First Tour us. We then take in Fletcher s Mutiny Cyclorama 360 Degree Panoramic Painting of how the world s most famous Mutiny on HMS ounty created the Pitcairn & Norfolk Communities. Dinner at our Hotel tonight. Tues 2 nd November We start the day with the ehind the Hedges Tour. Visit some interesting places that can only be seen on a booked tour. Tonight we head to a Scenic Location (weather permitting) where we enjoy a feast of island Dishes, homemade bread, fresh fish, island desserts & local entertainment. Wed 3 rd November Now that you are familiar with the island enjoy a complete Free Day to do what you like. There are plenty of Options - Charter Fishing Half Day approx. $180. Culla Culla Horse & Carriage Rides. Please indicate if interested in any of the above so we can pre book. Tonight Norfolk`s most popular Progressive Dinner where we are invited into some lovely Island Homes for a fun night & a good way to meet the local people. Thurs 4 th November Today we visit the famous Colleen McCullough Homestead & Mootineer`s Cheese Tour. We visit some of the local industries before returning to our Hotel. Dinner at own expense tonight. Some restaurants & RSL Club are close by. Fri 5 th November Today after breakfast we pack our cases for our journey home. Free time to browse the shops, maybe purchase duty free alcohol before our flight back to Adelaide via Sydney. We will have to collect our cases and go through customs in Sydney then recheck our luggage for our Domestic Flight back to Adelaide. Arriving in Adelaide approx.10.00pm. Once again we check into the Atura Adelaide Airport Hotel. Sat 6 th November After a sleep in & Cooked reakfast we depart Adelaide at 10.00am arriving in ute approx pm. Price: $3,975 per person (Twin / Double Share) Note: people not wishing to stay in Adelaide overnight on return journey can deduct $100 per person. Single Travellers: If you wish to have a Room on your own a Single Supplement fee of $650 will apply. If you wish to share and we cannot find a suitable person for you to share with, a Single Supplement fee or part of, will apply. This will also occur if your Room Mate cancels. 3 Passport: We recommend travelling with a passport if you have one, however technically photographic identification for Australian citizens such as an Australian driver s licence, will be acceptable. When ooking please provide us with your first Christian Name as stated on your Passport / Photo ID & Surname so the Passports / Photo ID & Airline Tickets match. Pick up s: All Tours Depart from ute. If convenient we pick up along the way. We do not detour unless numbers make it worthwhile. We do not do home pickup s in the city as this would be unfair to country clients who often have to make an effort to meet our Tours however we do offer Free Undercover Car Parking at ute. Health and Fitness: A minimum level of fitness is required in order to be able to participate. You will need to be able to walk up a flight of stairs and manage coach steps unaided. You must inform us before the commencement of the tour of any medical condition which may affect your ability to participate in the tour. If you are unable to manage on your own, it will be necessary to be accompanied by another person who is fit and able to assist you in day to day tasks and capable of providing the assistance required. Sharing: If you are sharing with somebody you don t know you are only sharing a room and are not to depend on them to care for you in any way. Travel Insurance: It is essential you have Travel Insurance. It will cover any delays or cancellations beyond our control (eg: Airline Delays, Strikes etc). Insurance can be purchased through us direct or your own insurer. Quarantine: restrictions apply, Do Not ring Farm Produce in to or out of Norfolk Island this includes Honey, Nuts, Seeds, Soil, Wood & Fruit etc. Cancellation Conditions: ookings Cancelled after Deposit has been paid. Deposit, per person, forfeited. ookings Cancelled after the Final Payment has been made. Full payment will be forfeited. We reserve the right to alter this Itinerary.
4 ooking Conditions & Information IMPORTANT: The terms, conditions and limitation of liability under which the tours operate are detailed hereunder and the payment of the security deposit or tour price represents acceptance by the purchaser of the following:- 1. The tour is organised and/or operated by ute uses Pty Ltd (hereinafter called the Company ). 2. The Company reserves the right to alter or change the accommodation, carriers or coaches at any time for any reason. The Company reserves the right to cancel or alter the itinerary and/or tour without notice as may be found necessary for any reason whatsoever including, but not limited to, road, weather or traffic conditions, non-performance of suppliers, industrial action, operational conditions and requirements. All additional expenses incurred as a result of any delays, cancellations or alterations will be the sole responsibility of the passenger. 3. A minimum number of bookings are required to operate a tour and also to ensure an enjoyable group atmosphere. Where sufficient numbers cannot be achieved, the Company reserves the right to cancel a scheduled departure. The decision to operate the tour is usually made 60 days prior to the scheduled tour departure date, however in some instances, this decision may not be available until 30 days prior to the departure date. 4. Where a tour is cancelled prior to the departure date, according to clause 2 or 3 above, we shall endeavour to offer the nearest possible alternative tour (subject to a refund or payment to cover any tour price difference) or, if this is not acceptable, refund your monies in full. 5. Any special passenger requirements must be notified to the Company at the time of booking. No passenger will be permitted to embark or continue on the tour while their mental or physical condition is, in the opinion of any representative of the Company, such as to render them incapable of caring for themselves, or whereby they become objectionable to other passengers, or they become a hazard to themselves or other passengers. The Company will not be responsible for expenses resulting in such persons being precluded from completing the tour for any such reason. 6. The Company can give no guarantee as to the exact arrival and departure times for carriers and operators used by the Company in the Tour. The Company will not be liable for failure to make connections with any service and/or missed tour inclusions. 7. The Company reserves the right to cancel any ticket or booking or to refuse to carry any passenger where payments have not been received by the Company within the times specified in the tour Itinerary. It is a condition of carriage that a passenger has paid all tour monies prior to the departure of the tour. 8. In the event of industrial action affecting air, rail or tour transportation the Company will make every effort to contact the client and advise alternative arrangements. 9. The Company reserves the right to vary the price advertised or printed to cover significant increase in air fare, fuel price, Government taxes and charges, or other tour related tariffs and costs. Passengers are reminded that this is a condition of travel. 10. Where the Company does not operate the tour, attraction and/or optional tours (herein after called the Tour Inclusion ) which may be included in the tour itinerary or associated with the tour, the Company shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury occasioned to any person or property as a result of any such Tour Inclusion undertaken during the tour whatsoever or howsoever the same may be caused whether as a result of negligence or otherwise. These tour inclusions may include activities such as trekking, climbing, exploring, swimming, and snorkelling. The passenger unreservedly accepts that these activities involve varying degrees of risk. 11. aggage is entirely at owners risk during the tour and we STRONGLY RECOMMEND PRIVATE TRAVEL INSURANCE be taken out. Passengers are CAUTIONED against leaving articles on board carriers or the tour coach at any time. 12. Due to Government regulations and company policy, smoking is not permitted inside tourist coaches, however, frequent stops provide opportunity for those who desire to smoke. 13. Travel agents can forward deposits and payments on your behalf, but are not the Company s agent for the purpose of receipt of monies. Receipt of deposit and/or payment by the travel agent does not constitute receipt by the Company and the Company is not liable in respect of any monies paid to your travel agent until such monies are received by the Company. 14. To ensure all passengers have the opportunity to enjoy front and window seats, a daily seat rotation system is employed. 15. The Company will not be bound by any representative reported to have been made on their behalf unless the representative is confirmed by the Company. 16. Where a single passenger is willing to share accommodation with a fellow single passenger, the Company will endeavour to find another traveller of the same gender. The Company otherwise accepts no responsibility for the suitability of the rooming partner and it is a condition of travel that single passengers willing to share accommodation accept the rooming partners allocated by the Company. If a passenger at any time during the tour considers the rooming partner to be unsuitable, the Company will, subject to availability and at the cost of the passenger, arrange single accommodation. 17. Whilst the Company will take all reasonable steps to provide an enjoyable tour, the Company accepts no liability for any loss of enjoyment whatsoever and howsoever experienced by the passenger. 18. The airlines, and where applicable rail carriers and sea carriers, (hereinafter called the Carriers ) used in association with the tours are not responsible for statements in this Itinerary relating to the tour, or any of its features and the Company indemnifies the Carriers Carriers against any claim, action, loss or damage which may be made against the Carriers or which the Carriers may incur as a result of any misdescription or misleading information contained in this Itinerary. The passenger tickets in use by the Carriers when issued shall constitute the sole contract between the Carriers and the purchaser of these tickets and/or passengers using these tickets. 19. Coach Content Only DOES NOT INCLUDE TRANSFERS to departure/return points nor additional accommodation (pre or post tour). Passengers electing to take Coach Content Only or who require an altered Itinerary, are required to arrange their own transfers at the commencement and completion of tour. Tour Price and Duration: All prices in this Itinerary are quoted in Australian currency and include tour preparation, operation and marketing costs. All prices in this Itinerary are current at time of printing but are subject to change without notice. The number of days duration stated in each Itinerary includes day of departure and day of return. Deposit: A minimum deposit is payable within 7 days of booking to ensure a place on the tour is held for the passenger. Any deposit paid will automatically be credited towards the tour price at the time of final payment, unless otherwise requested. ookings are only confirmed once a deposit has been paid. Final Payment: The tour price must be paid no later than the date stated on the Itinerary to confirm bookings. It is the sole responsibility of passengers to pay the tour price by the due date. Cancellation Fees: ookings cancelled after the deposit has been paid the deposit per person will be forfeited. ookings cancelled after the Final payment has been of total tour cost as per each individual Itinerary. Domestic Air Fare Conditions: Discounted airfares are subject to availability and conditions apply. Your ute uses reservations consultant will book the most appropriate fare for your tour. Please note that some discounted airfares have conditions which make them unsuitable to be used in conjunction with theses tours. Travel Insurance: We strongly advise passengers to take out travel insurance to cover any unforseen circumstances which may arise (including, but not limited: to cancellation fees, loss of luggage, early return following death of a relative as defined in the respective proposal forms). aggage allowance: Passengers are entitled to carry one suitcase per person with the total sum of its length, width and height not exceeding 200cm (80 inches) and weight 20kg (42 lbs). Personal items such as makeup, cameras etc, should be carried in a travel bag. Passengers are to ensure that luggage meets the weight requirements as overweight items will not be carried. Clothing: We recommend casual, comfortable, lightweight, drip-dry clothing with some warmer articles for evenings and wet weather apparel. Laundry facilities are available en route. Australian Goods & Services Tax: The Australian Government introduced a 10% Goods & Services Tax (GST) on July 1st, Tour prices in this Itinerary include the GST and also reflect any resulting rate increase/decrease on accommodation, attractions etc. Flight or Tour Connections: Overnight accommodation required to meet tour or flight connections is not included in the tour price if required will be at passengers own expense. ute uses Optional Extras: Subject to availability, operational and seasonal factors. ooked by the Tour Director whilst on tour.
