Seasonal flight schedule change in March, late October and November: : Each year the airlines routinely undergo flight schedule changes during the month of March (around second Sunday in March), late October, and/or early November (around the first Sunday of November), when Daylight Savings Time begins and ends. However, the flight schedule may not change exactly on the date as listed below. World Spree Travel may not be notified of these schedule changes until 60 days or less prior to your tour departure. Even after flights have been confirmed, changes might still occur. Changes in schedules are beyond our control and solely at the discretion of the airlines. Please take these factors into consideration and call LAN (if your departure dates are in March, or, from Oct. 20th to November 15th) to verify the flight schedule before you book flights separately from your home city to connect with the included LAN flights. We strongly recommend that you allow at least 5 hours connection time between these flights, this can help prevent any problems arise from unexpected airline schedule changes and/or flight delays. World Spree recommends that you make no payments for connecting airfare, or any other services related to your trip, until your final payment is made and your Peru tour is confirmed. Note it is your sole responsibility to contact the airline prior to departure to verify your flight number, flight schedule, check-in time, departure terminal & gateway, checked baggage and carry-on restrictions, etc. You should also visit TSA website ( for the updated travel warning and security measures. World Spree Travel is not responsible for notifying guests of flight changes. Flight Special Requests Airline arrangements such as seat assignments, special meal requests, frequent flyer credit, etc., are arranged or determined by the airline. It is recommended that you contact your airline timely to make these special requests. We will notify you, by , of your e-ticket number when the group tickets are issued about two weeks prior to departure. Please contact the airline directly to secure your seating. Upon receipt of your Peru flight e-ticket information, you should call LAN ( ) immediately to 1) Request seat assignment. Bulkhead and exit row seats are only assigned at airport check-in or upon request. If you have a medical condition and have a special seating request, you must contact LAN directly. 2) Make special dietary request (if applicable) for all flights. Note that special dietary requests for LAN flights are on a request basis and are not guaranteed. 3) Request mileage credit for your flights LAN Check-in LAN Check-in counter opens about 3 ½ - 4 hours prior to departure time. 6 To earn your LAN mileage points, you should contact LAN directly by the following 2 ways: 1) Present your LAN, TAM, One World or associated airline card number to LAN check-in counter at, Los Angeles, and JFK. 2) You can also input your member number after flying to earn pending miles. Note the booking class has nothing to do with where you sit on the airplane and the class of your seat. Mileage points are calculated using the airline booking code and pricing system. Frequent traveler programs are administered by the airlines, and are beyond the control of World Spree. If you have questions or concerns regarding your frequent traveler mileage points, earn, or redeem the points, you must contact the airline directly when you receive your E-Ticket from World Spree. LAN Call Center can be reached at: In order to claim your frequent traveler mileage, you may be required to provide the original ticket receipt and boarding pass, so be sure to save these documents. Baggage Allowance for Peru flights Baggage allowance for the International flight is two pieces of checked baggage per person. Total dimensions (Length + Width + Height) of the two pieces must not exceed 80 inches (203cm); maximum dimensions of single piece shall not exceed 62 inches (158cm). Maximum weight per piece is 50 lbs. Each passenger may carry one piece of carry-on luggage, the combined dimensions of which shall not exceed 45 inches (115cm), plus one personal item. You are allowed one carry-on bag not to exceed 17 lbs, plus one personal item such as a purse, laptop or diaper bag. The carry-on must fit in the overhead bin or under the seat. The airport authorities seldom weigh your carry-on baggage, but the size of it does matter, particularly when the flight is full. This is the rule. Sometimes it is enforced strictly and sometimes it is not all depending on the local airport and how full the flight is. Overweight luggage in excess of allowances will incur excess baggage charges payable on site by the passenger. Since airline policy changes are becoming more frequent, be sure to contact the related airline directly for the updated information. Additional airline fees for Canadian & U.S. domestic flights Additional airline fees for Canadian and U.S. domestic flights to LAN gateways (JFK, LAX, MIA, YYZ) may apply at check-in. Fees may be charged by airlines for services such as preferred seat selection and baggage handling. Please note that fees are determined by the airline you check in with and may change at any time. Additional fees for overweight baggage and second baggage are charged and vary by airline. Please check with your airline for weight restrictions. The airline fees are not part of World Spree tour fare. It is our customer s responsibility to check with the related airline for up-to-date information. Baggage Lock & Liquids If you choose to take World Spree, you should leave your checked baggage unlocked. Or, if you wish to lock your baggage, you MUST use a TSA recognized lock, which allows TSA screeners to open and re-lock your bags for security screening. Ordinary locks are cut if physical inspection is required. Liquids & gels over 100 ml must be packed in checked luggage at all airports in both U.S. and Peru. Baggage Precautions Make sure that you have luggage tags for each checked suitcase. A copy of your itinerary and contact information should also go in an outside pocket of your luggage to aid the airline personnel to locate you in case you and your luggage become separated. Never check luggage containing prohibited items (i.e. lighters), valuables (i.e. cash, jewelry, and cameras), fragile items (i.e. undeveloped film, bottles, eyeglasses) or critical items (i.e. medicines, travel vouchers). You should read more information about TSA Permitted and Prohibited Items. Baggage Damage/Lost World Spree will not be responsible for loss or damage to your luggage and/or personal belongings. You must report any loss or damage immediately at the time of the incident and obtain a written report from the local authority for submission to your insurance provider. If your luggage is lost or damaged by the airlines, a baggage claim form must be filed with the carrier before leaving the airport. Connecting Flights If you arrange your flight to,,, or Toronto to connect to LAN flight to Peru, you should leave plenty of connecting time between flights. Be sure to arrive at your international gateway at least 3 ½ hours prior to departure time. Allow a similar amount of time for the return trip. Please take the following fact into consideration. World Spree is not responsible for any missed connections and/or penalties/loss as a result.

7 For transpacific flights, you must allow a minimum of 3 ½ hours check-in time For Canadian domestic flights, you must allow a minimum of 2 hours check-in time The minimum transfer time between U.S. domestic and International connecting flight is 3 ½ hours It takes at least 1 hour to clear the Customs and claim your checked baggage. Jet Lag Consideration Peru is on the same time zone as the East Coast (i.e., and Toronto) and 3 hours ahead of the West Coast (i.e. L.A., Seattle and Vancouver). Jet lag happens when your body's inner clock falls out of sync with daily cycles of light, rest, meals, and as you cross time zones to reach your destination. Symptoms are fatigue, irritability and vague disorientation. You cannot totally avoid jet lag, but you can minimize its effects. Here are some suggestions: 1. Get several good nights of sleep before your Peru Tour departure 2. Set your watch to your destination time when you board the plane, and adjust sleep and meals accordingly 3. Try to sleep on the plane 4. Walk around the plane occasionally, do isometric exercises at your seat 5. Drink plenty of water and fruit juice while flying 6. Avoid alcoholic and caffeinated drinks during and after the flight 7. On arrival, throw yourself into your new schedule, avoid naps, and try to stay awake until your normal sleeping time at home Canada Duty-free Exemption When shopping in Peru, keep receipts of all purchases. Upon reentering Canada be ready to show customs officials what you've bought. Each resident returning to Canada is entitled to one of the following personal exemptions based on his/her time absent from Canada (including all goods and/or gifts purchased or received abroad) 24 hours: CAN$ hours: CAN$800 7 days: CAN$800 This includes alcohol and tobacco, see information below: 1.5 L of wine or 1.14 L of liquor or 24 x 355 ml cans or bottles (8.5 L) of beer or ale. You must be of legal age in the province of importation. 200 cigarettes, 200 tobacco sticks, 50 cigars or cigarillos and 200 grams of manufactured tobacco (Special duty may apply). You must complete a Declaration Card before entering Canada Customs.
