Don t worry that s just because you have the freedom to take any Deutsche Bahn train to Brussels. Your tickets are valid all the way from your German station to the UK and back again, if you re returning. You ll find timetables for connecting trains on your Print at Home tickets. SEAT RESERVATIONS You ll have a seat reserved on your Eurostar train, but you won t need a reservation on your Deutsche Bahn train. As soon as your German train arrives, hop on and find an available seat. GERMAN TRAINS Your ticket is valid for these German trains: InterCity Express (ICE), InterCity (IC) or EuroCity (EC). 3 YOUR JOURNEY CONNECTING IN COLOGNE (KÖLN) HBF OR FRANKFURT A.M. HBF If you re connecting in Cologne (Köln) Hbf or Frankfurt a. M, check the departure screens to find your train. Remember, your tickets are valid on any InterCity Express (ICE), InterCity (IC) or EuroCity (EC) train on the same date as your Eurostar train. Once you ve found your train, you can board and find an available seat. The final destination of all InterCity Express (ICE) trains from Cologne, Frankfurt or Aachen is Brussels- Midi/Zuid. These trains also call at Brussels Nord, but don t get off here you ll need to catch your Eurostar train at Brussels-Midi/Zuid. SHORTEST JOURNEY TIME If you miss your InterCity Express (ICE) or Eurostar connection because of delays on your previous high-speed train, don t worry. Speak to the train manager on board and they ll help you get on the next available train, thanks to Railteam s Hop on the Next Available Train service. If you need help on your return journey, ask at the Deutsche Bahn (DB) information desk in the station.

4 YOUR JOURNEY Escalators CONNECTING IN BRUSSELS-MIDI/ZUID The Eurostar check-in area at Brussels-Midi/Zuid is opposite Sam s Café on the main concourse just look for the Channel Terminal sign. Taxis Stairs and lifts to main station concourse Leave at least 45 minutes to connect in Brussels-Midi/Zuid. This includes the 30 minute check-in time for Eurostar trains, which includes passport and security checks. Don t forget your passport or national ID card. 5 YOUR RETURN JOURNEY YOUR TICKET The departure and arrival times on your ticket only apply to the London-Brussels part of your journey, but they re valid all the way to your German destination. You ll need to allow at least 30 minutes in London for Eurostar check-in, which includes passport and security checks. Make sure you have your tickets and passport or national ID card ready. YOUR JOURNEY You ll need to change trains in Brussels again and, for some stations, in Cologne or Frankfurt as well. Check the table on page 3 for more information on how to get there. CONNECTING AT BRUSSELS-MIDI/ZUID Mandatory security checks are now taking place for ICE trains leaving Brussels-Midi/Zuid station. Your ticket, ID and luggage will be checked before you re able to go to the platform. When you arrive at Brussels-Midi/ Zuid station, you ll need to take the exit at the far end of the platform to go down to the main part of the station. Head straight to the area near the Thalys information desk. You ll find it on the right after the Eurostar check-in area and the SNCB ticket office. If you have a little time to spend in Brussels-Midi/Zuid before your train leaves, you ll find plenty of shops and cafés in the station or just outside, in Place Victor Horta. TRAVEL CLASSES If you re travelling in First Class with Deutsche Bahn, you ll travel in Standard Premier with Eurostar. If you re in Second Class, you ll be in Standard. In Standard Premier, you ll have complimentary magazines and newspapers, as well as a delicious light meal and drinks served at your spacious, comfortable seat. In Standard class, you ll find a wide range of meals, snacks and drinks at Café Métropole, our onboard buffet, as well as tickets and passes to some of London s top sights and attractions. LUGGAGE ALLOWANCES On trains you can take up to two bags as long as they re no more than 85cm long as well as a small item of hand luggage, like a handbag. To find out more, go to eurostar.com
