4 Coim s.r.l. Gas-fired Billet Heaters - Annealing Furnaces COIM is world leader in designing and manufacturing Gas-Fired Billet Heaters for the extrusion of Copper, Brass and Aluminum. Since 1978 COIM means worldwide excellence and expertise for the most important extruders. Our range of products includes Special Furnaces for Annealing and Heat Treatment of extruded products and tailor-made Automatic Storages for billets. In 1978, some metallurgical technicians from the district of Brescia - Italy (one of the main worldwide) pool their experience to design and build furnaces and machines for the non-ferrous extrusion industries. In the 80S, COIM emerges and specializes in the particular niche market of gas fired heaters and furnaces for preheating and heat treatment of copper, aluminum and relative alloys, developing and improving the design and construction of energy efficient furnaces. In the 90S, COIM undertakes a major expansion, coming to cover much of the Italian market furnaces for brass billets and winning the European market (in particular in Germany). From 2000 the company enthusiastically espouses the philosophy of the founders and helps to further accentuate the distinctive features of COIM products: top quality and energy efficiency, extreme customization, fast and efficacious after sales service, expanding the activity to emerging markets, such as EAST EUROPE and FAR EAST ASIA. 4

5 Presezzi Extrusion Group Our life for perfect extrusion The creation of the Presezzi Extrusion Group now means that customers can entrust all their extrusion requirements to a single, consolidated industrial reality, whose management dedicates itself to a constant technological growth, supported by the continuous, highly qualified activities in its research and development department. Our objectives: the highest possible level of technical specialization in the field research and development: one of the most important objectives for investments within the group, involving all the best technical and design resources and which has been made the principal objective for all our customers: energy savings, complete software solutions and programs for handling the production process, excellent quality of the finished extruded product as well as a reduction in overheads; the utmost flexibility in the supply of complete turn-key installations as well as standalone units perfect synergy between the realities of the production and service departments within the group; being considered as a candidate as the main contractor in order to simplify the handling of financial matters for the customer as well as ensuring punctual delivery for machinery and complete plants; the capacity to listen to our customers has been one of the main priorities of the group over the years and has enabled us to fulfill the most widespread and varied requirements by customizing, when required, any type of installation to raise the productive standards and final results of the supply. 5

Start Up Due to perfect group organization and synergies, our furnaces are preassembled directly in COIM s.r.l. workshop. 12 Products - Log Heating Furnaces + Hot Log Shear / Hot Saw For Aluminum, turn-key solutions with our gas-fired heater with hot shear or hot saw for logs, including logs storage, pusher and conveyor to the press. Our shears and saws are characterized by their high solidity and reliability, cut precision and the possibility to work with Programmable Scrap. 12

13 Products - Annealing and Heat Treatment Furnaces COIM designs and manufactures special furnaces for the Heat Treatment of Copper and Brass Rods, Tubes and Profiles (Annealing, Bright Annealing, Straightening), Aluminum Billets (Homogenization) and Aluminum Bars and Profiles (Ageing and Hardening). COIM has developed its own technology for Roller-Heart Continuous Furnaces (Jet Impingement), also with Vacuum and Inert Gas. Special Solutions for the Heat Treatment Different and custom solutions for the annealing of rods and tubes in copper and copper alloys, for the homogenization of aluminum billet and the ageing of aluminum profiles. 16 Service Specialized staff dedicated to any customer need Even after our machines are assembled and commisioned, they are followed and monitored by our Service department, one of our strengths, a team of professionals highly specialized in assisting customers during production. Remote Service Initial customer service is provided via Internet. For this reason, each machine or system is equipped with a modem that guarantees systematic service, constantly monitoring each customer s problem. Remote service allows us to identify problems in real-time and, when possible, resolve situations directly from our facilities, thus saving time and increasing productivity. Mechanical service and Spare Parts Our Service department helps customers find the best solution to any mechanical problem since we are able to provide mechanical spare parts whenever necessary. If on-site service is required, an appointment will be made with our technicians to identify the best corrective measures to be implemented. If, on the other hand, Spare Parts are required, whether standard or special, our staff will be pleased to quickly provide customers with the best estimate for the required parts. 16
