Galvanised Steel Framed Insulated Brooder Huts It s all in the design! We have reared more than a million birds and have used all our experienced to develop the best rearing system available. Our huts will last 25 years. The system is well tried and tested. In 2014 we reared over 80,000 birds in these units and we have customers who rear pheasants and partridges in them. Our design is an insulated rearing unit, 7.6m by 3.8m, with a central plastic mesh divider.

2 Made from 40mm box steel hot dipped galvanised with plastic steel sheets inside and out with insulation in between. The roof is a white box profile lining sheet, insulation then a box profile roof sheet. These are joined on either end to a 3.8m by 3.8m shelter pen, clad in plastic and with a box profile roof. weighs 1050 kg. A simple rig of spreader beam with three drop chains with hooks can be attached in a few seconds making it a truly portable system. They can also be placed on a trailer and transported between fields. Drop them down, disconnect the hooks and they are ready to rear. Our brooder huts are arranged in a terrace as a single shelter then double brooder, double shelter, double brooder repeated until the end of the run where there is a single shelter again. These units have huge benefits over wooden sheds or 19 feet by 24 feet units. This design makes for much quicker checking of birds with all the doors in a line. Its saves a lot of field space, meaning you can rent less or rotate more often. The design of the doors, with both shelter and shed arranged in a line along the fronts, revolutionises the management of the birds. Checking, feeding and bedding is simple, and because the brooder and shelters are only 3.7m deep all aspects can be seen from outside, through the four foot wide door. Shutting birds away is also much easier. The runs can be accessed through the night shelter, which has doors front and back. With the first pen section in each run having a gate, its much quicker to walk between them, and with a 1000 birds in each run, shutting away 10,000 poults takes five minutes.

4 Picture Shows inside the brooder hut left hand side. White plastic coated steel sheets make for easy cleaning and long life. The heating system is a unique design. Thermostatically controlled it cuts out to a pilot light only saving gas and preventing overheating. There are 1050 pheasant 7 day old chicks in this side. 6 Lifting Eye Picture above shows roofs with integrated lifting eyes. The pen sections join to the brooders. A stainless wire allows easy joining of the top nets along the brooder roof.
