Selection methods are as follows: Open tender onsultancies over $ (GST inclusive) are advertised in ustender, the ommonwealth Government s electronic publishing service, and where deemed appropriate, in the print media. In ustralia, open tenders are also advertised on the department s Internet site ( Overseas, open tenders are advertised on the post s local website. 5 SETION 4 Explanation of selection process terms: Open tender procurement procedure in which a request for tender is published inviting all businesses that satisfy the conditions for participation to submit tenders. Select sourcing procurement procedure in which the procuring agency selects which potential suppliers are invited to submit tenders/quotations in accordance with the mandatory procurement procedures (ommonwealth Procurement Guidelines, January 2005). Direct sourcing procurement process, available only under certain defined circumstances, in which an agency may contact a single potential supplier of its choice.
