1 Secure FSU Summary Proposed lassification and Pay Model: Improved Proposal During 2013/14 enterprise bargaining negotiations FSU members raised concerns with the broken pay model at. In the 2014 greement, we included a new 7 level classification structure that started on 1 Jan and gave ourselves some additional time to work through the finer details of the classification structure. Things like job categories, salary ranges and a review process and higher duties all needed to be resolved. In Principle greement Now Reached Your FSU Representatives have been negotiating for an improved classification and pay model with for some time and we ve now reached an in principle agreement on a proposal that includes some key improvements: new job categories and salary ranges across Levels 1 to 4, a robust annual review process as well as a clarification of the payment of Higher Duties llowance. Proposal Endorsed by National Enterprise ouncil The Union s National Enterprise ouncil has now endorsed the improved proposal and is recommending the proposal to FSU members in the member ballot, which will commence on 27 July Employee riefings FSU Reps will be providing briefings at team meetings across business units and encouraging members to vote on the proposal by 7 ugust No Rep in your workplace? nabmembers@fsunion.org.au What s included in the Improved Proposal? ll jobs within Levels 1-4 will be assigned to a job group and category within their respective level. See table attached overleaf Job category and salary information to be published on the intranet, including level, category and TE range and in SP, so you can see where your pay sits on the TE range You have a right to dispute the categorisation or grouping of your job Higher duties to be paid for work in a higher role at the same level or a higher level nnual reviews will include performance and salary information and will reflect market movements with no buffers or thresholds limiting adjustment The FSU will be consulted in the annual review process We ve also negotiated a post implementation review that will look at all aspects of the system. This review will be completed before the Enterprise greement is negotiated. Other enefits If the proposal is endorsed by FSU members, a number of other provisions in the greement come to life, including: entralised remuneration recommendations from Workplace Performance to people Leaders Level 3 and 4 employees, you can get a copy of your remuneration through Workplace Performance Improved annual salary review process with agreed criteria taken into consideration nnual salary review process expanded now includes Level 4 employees New salary appeals process for Level 3 and 4 employees nnual reporting of Level 3 and 4 remuneration outcomes ontinued on next page >
