Many students are not sure what a job fair is or how to prepare for one so on Tuesday night 2/13 from 5 to 7:00pm we will hold a prep for the job fair event Pizza and soda provided!! We will work with other students to do resume reviews create an elevator speech to help you introduce yourself and get some pointers on behavior based interview questions. We have done this every semester with really good student feedback. Role You will be part of an enthusiastic, results-oriented, and dynamic team of Test Engineers, Embedded Software Engineers, and Application Software Engineers working to design and develop Hologic s best-in-class digital mammography products. The ideal candidate will be someone who strives to understand how complex hardware/software systems operate in order to find ways to improve them. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Working closely with other developers and testers, develop an expert level understanding of how our products work and how they are used in clinical practice in order to help design and execute effective testing and suggest product improvements. Be determined in searching for software defects and potential improvements, and document defects with clear steps to reproduce. Design and build test automation, tools, and libraries to help us develop products more effectively. Troubleshoot and support problems uncovered by manufacturing and field service teams. Perform complex technical tasks to assist other engineers with software and system design. Assist with product development efforts dealing with Cybersecurity and network vulnerability issues. Develop and execute test procedures to qualify OS patches and anti-virus software. 3

4 Qualifications A strong desire to constantly find smarter and more creative ways to test our products so we can continue providing the best quality of care to our patients. Programming experience in C#, C++, or Java. General computer science knowledge, including operating systems, software systems, and networking. Good understanding of software design principles, algorithms, data structures, and multithreading concepts. Good understanding of the Windows Operating System. Experience with UNIX and RTOS is a plus. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Education Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, or other technical, science, or Engineering degree.
