2 What we did Dorchester Collection designed an online shop, showcasing the personality of our hotels, and allowing our guests to take a piece of the experience back home or share it with friends and family. We introduced new, fully digital products for last minute purchases and gifts. We introduced a Send a Hint functionality for customers who want to request their special gift, instead of buying it themselves. Our new store was designed from the ground up on the Magento framework. It was designed to provide a multiproduct/merchant basket with single checkout, accepting multiple currencies including Bitcoin.

5 Our Innovative Idea This is the first Magento Enterprise extension utilising the new Braintree Payments API to allow both single merchant and multi merchant payments and the BitcoinPayGate API to allow payments via Bitcoin. The TimGreenwood Multipayment extension works with Webshopapps Dropship extension to allow customers to purchase items from multiple warehouses (in our case, hotels) in the same basket. When a customer pays for a basket that contains items from multiple hotels, they make a single payment and the TimGreenwood Multipayment module splits up the payment to each separate merchant (hotel) for a seamless transaction.

8 Why did we do it? We created the online shop because we realised our guests enjoyed our products and services and they wanted to take a piece of that home or share it with their friends as gifts. We had a lot of requests for digital gifts, multi hotel gifts and products, as well as payments in multiple currencies.
