4 Learning Objectives At the conclusion of this activity, the participants should be able to:»» Improve the performance of ERCP and EUS by understanding established and emerging therapeutic techniques and technologies to optimize success, reduce adverse events, and enhance outcomes for benign and malignant pancreatic and biliary disorders.»» Implement the best endoscopic treatment strategies for patients with Barrett s esophagus and colon polyps and understand the importance of the role of new techniques and technologies to expand non-surgical treatment options.»» Integrate practice guidelines and expert opinion in the identification and treatment of autoimmune pancreatitis and the prevention and management of post-ercp pancreatitis.»» Diagnose difficult to visualize polyps and treat challenging polyps along with improved recognition of adverse events to optimize treatment, manage both endoscopic and surgical adverse events, and identify surgically altered GI anatomy to enhance outcomes. Accreditation The University of Colorado School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians. Modules include lunch. 1:00 PM HANDS-ON WORKSHOPS This advanced endoscopy workshop, with one-on-one interaction with course faculty, will allow participants to gain hands-on exposure to new and/or advanced endoscopy techniques and devices, utilizing a combination of animal models and simulators for training. The hands-on workshops are held in our state-of-the-art endoscopy center. We offer live fl uoroscopy for the hands-on workshops to enhance the learning of ERCP and stent placement. Participants will select one of the following three modules. MODULE 1 ERCP and Esophageal/Enteral Stenting MODULE 2 Deep Enteroscopy, EUS, Barrett s Mucosal Ablation MODULE 3 Endoscopic Mucosal Resection, Tissue Apposition, and Perforation Closure 5:00 PM Adjourn
