RECRUITMET IITIATIVES 2 3 Date 7/8/23 //24 /27/24 Type of Recruitment Initiative (Menu Selection) Participation in Job Fairs Establishment of an intern program designed to assist members of the community Participation in Job Fairs Brief Description Of Activity On Thursday, July 8th, the WISH-TV employment unit in connection with the Indiana Broadcaster s Association participated in the annual Indiana Black Expo Career Fair. Resumes were taken, job applicants were screened and employment opportunities within the station and parent company were shared. WISH/WDY paid to be a participant and have a presence at this job fair. Every year, the WISH-TV employment unit participates in internship programs with a number of areas colleges and universities. Students are given academic credit in exchange for successful completiton of hours worked within the employment unit. Internships are offered for the Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter academic terms. On Monday, Jan 27th, 24, WISH/WDY (Julie Zoumbaris) in connection with the Indiana Broadcaster s Association participated in a Ball State University job fair. RECRUITMET IITIATIVES 4 5 Date 2/8/24 3/4/24 Type of Recruitment Initiative (Menu Selection) Participation in scholarship programs Participation in Job Fairs Brief Description Of Activity On Feberuary 8th, the WISH-TV 4 employment unit once again begain participating in the LI Minority Scholarship and Training Program. The program identifies promising minority student talent, offers a scholarship, paid internship, and upon successful completion of the program, three years of guaranteed employment with the company. Our employment unit actively recruits applicants utilizing our websites, on-air community calendar mentions, and press releases. We also are part of an active rotation for the scholarship and training program recepients. On Friday, March 3th, the WISH-TV employment unit participated in the BIG Basketball Tournament's Career Fair and Expo. Participants received job counseling, and information on available positions within the employment unit and our parent company.
