29 Extended IoT as a new content source: reversing the content provision/aggregation dilemma xiot is a boundless source of new content complements and de-bottlenecks existing media services content provision = owning and/or setting up sensors content aggregation = providing consolidated entity-level information to applications Applications are not interested in sensors and in raw data, they are interested in the entities that sensors sense IoT # media! in IoT there is more added value in content aggregation than in content provision! Aggregate and consolidate data into information at the level of xiot entities
