1. Introduction "Control your office telephone with HIPPER. Be accessible everywhere on your way, on your moment." HIPPER allows you to operate the functions of the telephone system in an intuitive way, giving you optimal control over your accessibility, everywhere: at the office, at home, with you clients, and on the go. HIPPER is only available in Dutch. In this guide, Dutch menu items are provided to assist with using the app. 1.1 Remote Control HIPPER acts as a remote control for your office telephone system. You can change settings such as the following with HIPPER: Do not disturb Call forward (always, if not available, as in call or not answered) Speed dialing Simultaneous ringing and 15 other PBX functions You can answer incoming calls and transfer calls with HIPPER. HIPPER will also show your contacts and call history (dialed, missed and received calls). 3
You can easily set up a call from the call history. 1.2 Mobility HIPPER also gives you control over a number of mobility opportunities, so you can be reached via a single number at any time, whenever you want! Anywhere when you're on the go or regularly changing workplace, disconnect with Anywhere your cell phone to your landline number so that it rings if there is a call. - Using your mobile, the caller only sees your landline number - You can move the conversation with *11 to your fixed phone if you arrive at your office during the call. Remote Office - If you work from home - use Remote Office - and only your home phone or mobile will ring, because that is now part of your business telephone system. With HIPPER you can easily setup a remote office and calls are made on the company phone costs. Click to call HIPPER shows you the telephone exchange to set up a conversation, calling you first and then out after you respond. With Anywhere and Remote Office, if your home phone and mobile device are linked, you can make business calls from your home phone or mobile without private telephone costs. The person on the other end of the line sees your business number on their display. 4
2. Installation The HIPPER app is available for iphone and Android. You can install HIPPER through the App Store (iphone) and the Android Market. 5
2.1 Installing HIPPER for iphone To install HIPPER on your iphone do the following 1. Go to the App Store on your iphone and search for "hipper" 6
2. Install the app 2.2 Installing HIPPER for Android To install HIPPER on your Android device do the following 1. Go to Android Market on your Android device and search for "hipper" 2. Select Hipper and install Only the setup screens for iphone are shown in this document. Android operation is quite similar. 2.3 Account information It is necessary to enter your account information to use HIPPER. When you first start HIPPER the account information screen appears. 1. Start HIPPER 2. Enter your user name and password 3. Click to reload 7
4. A check screen appears If the information you typed is correct, you will be returned to the account information screen. It is now possible to use HIPPER. 1. Click on to get to the settings. 8
If your login details are incorrect, an error message will be shown. If you do not have a license on the HIPPER HIP platform, you will get the error message: your account is not registered for use with HIPPER. In this case contact your Tritel to have the HIPPER license assigned. 9
3. Settings (instellingen) HIPPER acts as a remote control for your office telephone system. You can customize the settings on the telephone system with HIPPER. The following sections describe the how to configure the settings. 3.1 Do Not Disturb (Niet storen) The Do Not Disturb function ensures that the device does not ring for incoming calls. Calls will be diverted to voic , if activated, or the caller will hear a busy signal. The Rinkel bij option will emit a signal when it is forwarded (in practice, many devices do not support this option). 1. Change Niet Storen Actief AAN 3.2 Remote Office (Kantoor op afstand) Do you sometimes work from home? Use the Remote Office function then only your home phone or mobile will ring, because this is part of your business telephone system. 10
1. Fill in the phone number Kantoor op afstand Telefoonnummer 2. Change Kantoor op afstand Actief AAN Click-to-call with Remote Office (Klik-en-bel met Kantoor op afstand) You can use the telephone system with HIPPER to setup a call. The system will call you first as soon as you respond you will be connected and are able to make calls on your home phone or mobile without private telephone costs. The person on the other end of the line sees your business number on their display. 3.3 Anywhere With the Anywhere function, you can connect multiple devices to your business telephone. For example, if you re on the go or not in your workplace on a regular base, you associate your mobile phone with Anywhere, and calls to your landline will ring on your mobile. If you call with your mobile, the recipient will only see your landline number. You can move the conversation to your fixed phone using *11 if you arrive at your workplace during your call. 11
1. Click on Anywhere 2. Change Bel alle locaties to AAN (this ensures that all locations have been added and are dialed on click to call). You can add a phone number with locatie toevoegen. The number is added to the telephone system and will ring there if called. 3. Use Divert Blocking (Doorschakelblokkering AAN) to prevent calls from going to voic . 4. For each number you can choose to turn on Confirmation requested (Bevestiging vereist). If set, you will be asked to press any key before a call is transferred to you on the linked device. 5. Click Terug Click-to-call with Anywhere (Klik-en-bel met Anywhere) You can use the telephone system to setup a call (click to call). The system will phone you first, and if you ve linked one or more devices, it will go through Anywhere also. This way, you can use your home or mobile for business without private telephone costs. The person receiving the call only sees your business number on their display. 12
3.3.2 Simultaneous ringing (Gelijktijdig rinkelen) The Simultaneous Ringing feature lets multiple numbers (adjustable) ring when your business number is called. You can pick up the call on any device. For example, you can setup your mobile phone to be available if you are not at your workplace. 1. Change Gelijktijdig rinkelen Actief op AAN 2. Choose Niet rinkelen bij in gesprek (do not ring when busy) if you do not want the other numbers to ring if you have a call in progress. Otherwise choose Rinkel bij alle oproepen (ring on all calls). 3. Use Telefoonnummer toevoegen to add phone numbers that you want to simultaneously ring. You are advised to turn on the option Bevestiging vereist (requires confirmation) if your voic is active to prevent calls from being forwarded to voic . This option asks you to press a key first before the call is transferred to you Difference between Simultaneous Ringing and Anywhere The Simultaneous Ringing feature and Anywhere are similar. However, there are essential differences. The difference is the role of the telephone system taking place with added phone numbers/locations. With Anywhere, the conversation is in the telephone system; with Simultaneous Ringing the phone will just divert to the external device. At that time, the person on the other end of the line will see the number of the device (not the business number as in Anywhere). Click to call is also not possible with Simultaneous Ringing. 13
3.4 Profile Management (Profielbeheer) The Profile Management feature gives you the ability to set four accessibility profiles. These profiles can then be quickly adjusted via HIPPER. The following profiles are available: None (Geen) At the Office (Op kantoor) Out of the Office (Niet op kantoor) Occupied (Bezet) Not available (Niet beschikbaar) 1. Choose the desired profile It s possible to set the individual profiles through the HIP Toolbar. More information on the use of profile management and different profiles can be found in the manual of the HIP Toolbar. 14
3.5 Call Forwarding Always (Altijd doorschakelen) This function forwards all incoming calls to a defined phone number. 1. Fill in the telephone number to which you want to forward 2. Choose Altijd doorschakelen Actief AAN 3.6 Call Forwarding Unreachable (Doorschakelen bij onbereikbaar) With this feature, calls are diverted to another number if your device is not reachable. This happens if your device, for any reason, cannot connect to the telephone platform (for example, if there s a network failure). This way you can still be reachable through an alternate number. 15
1. Enter the telephone number to which you want to forward. 2. Choose Doorschakelen bij onbereikbaar Actief AAN 3.7 Call Forwarding No Answer (Vertraagd doorschakelen) With this feature, you can automatically forward an incoming call to a pre-defined number if it is not answered within a certain time frame (for example, after 5 rings). 16
1. Enter the telephone number to which you want to forward 2. Select after how many rings you want to divert (1 ring = 5 seconds). 3. Choose Vertraagd doorschakelen Actief AAN 3.8 Divert if Busy (Doorschakelen bij bezet) With this feature, you can forward calls if you have a call in progress. 1. Enter the telephone number to which you want to forward 2. Choose Doorschakelen bij bezet Actief AAN 3.9 Block Caller ID (Nummerherkenning blokkeren) The Block Caller ID option disables the display of your number. You can decide if someone may see your number or not. It is also possible to block your Caller ID for a specific call. Dial *67 and then the number you want to call, if you want to call anonymously. 17
1. Click on Nummerweergave blokkeren Actief AAN 3.10 Account Information (Account informatie) By filling in your account information, HIPPER can log on to the telephone exchange, so that the application has access to all the features available to you. 18
4. Click-to-call (Klik-en-bel) Calling via HIPPER always means click to call : you use the telephone system with HIPPER to setup a call. Once set up, you will be called first (there must be a connection to your device) and after answering the call, you will be connected by the telephone system. Normally, your desktop phone will ring. If you turn on Remote Office or Anywhere, it will also be routed to your smartphone or the chosen number. HIPPER Remote Office Anywhere Klik-en-bel Off Off Office phone rings Klik-en-bel On (mobile number) Off Mobile phone rings Klik-en-bel Off On (mobile number) Office and mobile device ring You can start a call in several ways Using the keyboard type a number Using contacts find a contact, both in the business contacts of the telephone system or the contacts on your smartphone Using the call list search a previously received, created, or missed call. 19
5. Call transfer (doorverbinden) When you receive a call, you can control the conversation with HIPPER. It is possible to connect a caller to voic or to another number. You can do this during the HIPPER call popup screen HIPPER will then show the call status and the buttons Doorverbinden naar voic (transfer to voic ) or Doorverbinden (call transfer). If you transfer to voic the call will be put directly to voic . This button is also visible during a call. It can be useful to ask someone to just put a reminder in a message so that you can handle it later. Be sure to have the voic option set by Tritel. If you choose transfer, you can enter the number of the person you would like to receive the call. Once you transfer, the conversation will be directly transferred. 20
