2 LETTER OF INVITATION Dear Exhibitors, Supporters and Friends: The Advisory Board and leadership are delighted to invite you to be part of the World Congress on Continuing Professional Development, to be held March 17-19, 2016 at the Manchester Grand Hyatt in San Diego, California. We anticipate over 600 participants from around the globe from multiple professions and various disciplines to attend the 2016 Congress. What is the Congress? First established in 1988, the Congress is the preeminent international meeting of practitioners and researchers concerned with improving the continuing education/continuing medical education (CE/ CME) and continuing professional development (CPD) experiences of health professionals. Every four years, the Congress is convened by the three major professional associations (Tri-Group) that share a mission dedicated to advancing the field of CE/CME/CPD: Society for Academic Continuing Medical Education Association for Hospital Medical Education Alliance for Continuing Education in the Health Professions Combined, the Tri-Group members total more than 2,500 CE/CME/CPD senior professionals working in 85 medical schools and 250 teaching hospitals across the U.S. At the most recent Congress, held in 2012, nearly 600 faculty, medical educators, researchers and CE/CME/CPD professionals convened to discuss topics on learning and assessment, aligning quality improvement with CME, maintenance of certification, and inter-professional, team-based learning. Program Goals Define and characterize health professions CE/CME/CPD in the 21st Century Build upon existing evidence that shows CE/CME/CPD improves individual competence, performance and care outcomes Advance opportunities for collaborative research in CE/CME/CPD practice Promote alignment of CE/CME/CPD education with quality improvement and patient safety processes Describe evidence-based learning models that are the most effective in transferring knowledge to practice Showcase models for inter-professional team learning in clinical settings Foster development of educational activities that serve to improve the health of culturally diverse and vulnerable populations Benefits of Supporting The Congress provides a unique opportunity to interact with professionals from a wide range of institutions committed to CE/CME/CPD. 4 GENERAL INFORMATION APPLICATIONS/SPACE ASSIGNMENTS Applications for exhibit space must be made on the Application for Exhibit Space Form enclosed. Space assignments will be made on a first-come, first-served basis. Priority of space assignments will be based on the date and time the application is received. In early October, we will contact you with a floor plan and booth options and provide you with an Exhibitor Agreement. The Exhibitor Agreement will be required to formally secure your space and will include an option to pay by credit card as well as a remittance address for check payments. At that time, you will also receive full details regarding exhibit hours, shipping and delivery options, and additional show information. BOOTH DETAILS The following are included with each exhibit space: 6 table, table linens and two chairs. The exhibit hall is carpeted and will have basic Wi-Fi access. All other equipment needs are the responsible of each exhibitor. We will provide you with contact information for a third-party Convention Services team upon confirming your booth arrangements in October. All requests for electricity, furniture or equipment rentals, labor for installing or dismantling your booth, etc., shall be handled through the third-party Convention Services team.
