2 Setup Your BrokerWorks Profile Complete your free BrokerWorks profile to attract new clients A great profile helps win new clients The information you enter in the My Profile section of BrokerWorks will be displayed in the BizBuySell Broker Directory for potential buyers and sellers to see. Separate yourself by including information unique to you such as the categories you specialize in, the services you offer, your affiliations and other details about your background in the industry. You can also manage the sold listings that appear on your BrokerWorks profile and upload a personal and/or company photo directly from My Profile. 2. Select the Edit My Profile option within the Account Settings tab 3. Complete the fields and click the Save Changes button BrokerWorks Tip: BrokerWorks Premium members can select up to 5 areas served & appear in the Broker Directory search results with a photo and short introduction.

3 Create Successful Listings Complete and accurate listings attract more serious prospects and help close deals more quickly. Create a catchy and searchable headline Use keywords such as location or business type to help buyers find your listing, and highlight features such as established customer base or profitability to entice viewers. Include accurate and detailed descriptions Detailed listings that include an asking price, cash flow, and a compelling description of the business help turn searchers into buyers. Make sure to proofread your ad! 2. Click the Manage Listings button 3. Under the Listing Actions menu, click Add Listing Add a second category it s free! List your business in the two categories that most closely match your business. That s twice the exposure at no additional cost! Attach a photo for 2X more exposure On average, listings with photos receive twice as many views. If confidentiality prevents you from posting a photo of the business itself, upload a related photo instead. Attach Pertinent Documents Add information by attaching a Word or PDF document. Examples include: Non-disclosure agreements, financial statements, etc. Upgrade your listing for maximum exposure Use a Showcase Ad to get the most exposure on BizBuySell, including top placement within the Search Results and a free Buyer Blast to all targeted buyer prospects.

Select the Add Agents option within the My Agents tab 3. 11 Glossary of Industry Terms Sellers and brokers are instructed to arrive at their financial figures using these standard definitions Asking Price The asking prices for the business for sale. Gross Income Gross income is defined as "all income the business received before any cost-ofsales have been deducted." Cash Flow Cash flow is arrived at by "starting with your net (before tax) profit. Then add back in any payments made to the owner, interest and any depreciation of assets." For example, if the net profit before taxes was $100,000 and the owner was paid $70,000 then the cash flow is $170,000. EBITDA EBITDA stands for earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization and is an approximate measure of a business s operating cash flow. FF&E Furniture, fixtures, and equipment that will remain with the business, such as desks, office cubicles, décor elements of a restaurant or showroom, computers and office machines, pots and pans, dishes, display cases, manufacturing equipment, etc. depending on the type of business. Real Estate If the business has real property that can convey with the business, the value of the property may be included in the asking price or kept separate as an optional purchase.
