2 s Sports Club Directory Community Sports Council Community Sports Council is one of the oldest sports councils in the North West. It has a long and proud history of supporting and developing sport in. The Sports Council is the overarching group for community sport in the town. Its aim is to promote and develop high quality sporting opportunities for the sporting community and linked to this aim it has a number of key focus areas which include: To increase the skills and knowledge of sports volunteers in. To promote and reward sporting success by athletes, teams and volunteers in. To ensure community sports clubs in are safe and child friendly. To contribute towards increasing the number of people who are physically active in. To play a key role in the co-ordination of sports events in. To support the development of elite athletes in the town.
3 s Sports Club Directory Clubmark Accreditation, Charter Standard and Equivalents Clubmark is the only national cross sports quality accreditation scheme for clubs with junior sections. It is built around a set of core criteria which ensure that accredited clubs operate to a set of consistent, accepted and adopted minimum operating standards. Charter Standard, Club First and GolfMark as well as other equivalents are similar to Clubmark but are just particular to one sport. Those clubs who are working towards Clubmark have [insert WT logo] by their name. Other versions of this Directory are available.
