2 Dear IBS colleague The first annual IBS International Week is just around the corner. The week of January 26 th to 30 th January will be full of guest lectures, speakers from the business community and events in observance of our theme Developing your global mindset. We would like to inform you about the programme of this week. MONDAY 26 JANUARY Kick off for students in Noord Serre We will divide all first year students into two groups, both groups will have the same kick off, but at a different time. Programme Walk in Welcome by Management Team Round one Coffee break Round two Lunch Description The discussion will consist of two rounds. After an introduction, the first round focusses on current trends in international higher education. We will zoom in on one of them: the shift from input to outcomes. This means that internationalisation is now less concerned with activities than with the outcomes of those activities. In other words: we focus less on international content and teaching and more on the outcomes of internationalised student learning. After a break, in round two we will look at the current discussion on internationalisation and employability by exploring a number of recent employability studies, such the Erasmus Impact Study (2014), the study by CIMO (Finland, 2014) and a survey of alumni of the IBMS programme at AUAS. We will then discuss different perspectives on employability skills and will try to capture them in learning outcomes by unpacking them further. Finally we will discuss what this means for assessment and for teaching. Programme for students Student have the opportunity to work on their assignment.

3 WEDNESDAY 28 JANUARY This day is dedicated to guest lecturers from our partner universities and guest speakers from the business community. Please feel free to join if you see anything of your liking. A detailed schedule is available on the last pages of this document. Informal meetings in room Feel free to pop into room at any time on Wednesday 28 and Thursday 29 to have informal meetings with the guest lecturers. This room has been designated as their office for the duration of the International Week. THURSDAY 29 JANUARY The morning slot is dedicated to present the electives and languages to the students.
