2 Welcome to the Danish HOPE exchange programme! Dear participant On behalf of the Danish HOPE organisation we warmly welcome you to the Danish HOPE exchange programme. We will do our very best to make your stay in Denmark rewarding both professionally and personally. The HOPE exchange is a multi professional programme. It is targeted at professionals who are directly or indirectly involved in the performance of European healthcare services. We aim at giving you an in-depth understanding of Danish healthcare. This includes both a top down presentation of the Danish healthcare system and a practical tour around the country with visits at hospital departments, national and regional administrations, primary care institutions e.g. You will be participating with professionals from a number of other European countries. In this way you will also get insight into the organisation of healthcare services in other European countries. We hope that you will benefit from and contribute to this sharing of experiences and best practices in the management of healthcare services. In this way you will contribute to tomorrow s best practice in healthcare we call this next practice. Yours sincerely Eva Weinreich-Jensen HOPE Governor Danish Regions 2 Allan Tambo Christiansen Danish HOPE national coordinator Central Denmark Region 3
