2 Blowing Our Own Trumpet Here are just a couple of the many positive comments we ve received lately: TALKING HEADS The Association of Print and Communication Managers (APCOM), which celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2014, has over 100 members across the public sector. We asked its President, GRAHAM LOWE, for his thoughts on our hotels. The whole collection is very impressive. We particularly like the range of properties and their locations: they really have that wow factor. Quality is the most important thing for us, and that s exactly what Puma Hotels offer. If I had to pick a favourite, I d have to say The Imperial Hotel in Torquay: the location and the views are just fantastic. The whole collection is very impressive. The meeting rooms and bedrooms were very impressive, and the food was excellent. We had a really good breakfast event this morning please thank all your staff including Erica, the IT guy and, in fact, everyone for making it go so smoothly. 6 CLEAN BILL OF HEALTH We are now accredited and trained at three of our hotels as a venue enabled for Healthcare Sector meetings and events, with more to follow. We undertook the accreditation and training programme provided by Compliant Venues. The programme has allowed us to gain a deeper insight and understanding of the meetings and events needs of the healthcare sector. We saw the accreditation and training modules as a key way of aligning to the sector and developing our capabilities. We identified through the training module key factors about the needs of medical associations, patient groups and corporate organisations. Understanding these meeting and event stakeholders and how their needs are changing supports us in identifying which types of meetings and ultimately the venue facilities these groups are looking for. The Hinckley Island Hotel in Leicestershire, The Majestic Hotel in Harrogate and The Oxford Hotel have all undertaken the accreditation and training solution to enhance their understanding and delivery of healthcare meetings.
