Dr. Mehrotra, NCACEP president introduced by Chris McGrath as guest speaker and discussed how NC ACEP can work with NC ENA, discussed the Propofol issue in emergency departments. 1. Introductions of attendees and Guest speaker 2. Treasurer Report Checking: $37, Dr. Mehrotra gave information about upcoming EM conferences: Coastal Emergency Medicine Conference in June and encouraged nursing presence.

2 Savings: $20, Martha Woods $1, GBO: $7, Fundraising documentation improved for Budget Line by Line budget review and discussion. -Delegate dress: discussed delegates having a jacket versus a shirt this year due to the chilly temperatures in the conference rooms. Agreed on an alternate color instead of white for the jackets. NC ENA to pay a set amount for the clothing and delegates are responsible for the remaining costs. -TNCC/ENPC course chair: Sarah proposed in 2013 that the TNCC/ENPC chairs get an allocated amount of money to attend one national conference (either leadership or scientific) in Angie Alexander suggested that if the chair is unable to attend then they choose the person that teaches the most TNCC/ENPC classes. Ryan Oglesby suggested that the chairs have travel paid for in the same budget line as officers and the designee be up to the chair versus the There is a recipient for GBO scholarship for 2012, has not been paid out yet. See attached. Motion passed and approved. After much discussion, the motion was made to add line items to the budget TNCC/ENPC chairs for one conference (leadership or scientific) for 2014, seconded and approved. Will need to be addressed again in 2015 as both leadership & scientific conferences will be combined.

3 person who teaches the most classes, as this may be part of their job requirement versus a volunteer basis. -EM Today sponsorship: discussed NC ENA presence at Emergency Medicine Today conference. -Injury Prevention: NC ENA is a cosponsor for the Duke/UNC injury prevention workshop on falls. Chris suggested having a NC ENA booth at the 2014 annual SADD conference. -Fundraising: spent $2, on duffle bags have not made any money on these yet. Unable to determine past monies made due to 2013 being the first year that item costs were differentiated. -Martha Woods Scholarship: have not heard back from ENA national regarding MW will monies. -Gracen Brooke Oglesby (GBO): money produces interest and the interest per year is awarded, has not paid out for the award for State Council expenses: not a lot of travel receipts have been turned in to Chris to send out this month for any volunteers not going to ENA scientific if they would be willing to work the NC ENA booth at EM Today. Terri to brochure. Chris to find out amount for NC ENA booth at SADD conference. Encouraged all fundraising ideas to be brought to next meeting/fundraising committee. Plan to leave as a line item for now and will decide on amounts later. Plan to pay out the scholarship for NC BOD to turn in receipts.

No previous documentation as to actual costs vs. expenses. NC ENA Leadership conference to be listed as a separate line item under Fundraising as this is a fundraising conference. To be removed as a line item. No change. No change. Increase amount to $1500. Connie Lanier agreed to come up with a template for this scholarship. Motion made, seconded & approved. -Donations: NC ENA making donations, for example, jewelry to the ENA foundation. -Business Supplies: discussed ipad to use for square; discussed ipad donation from a member.

5 -Conference Travel: actual monies, number of delegates and amounts for travel to Phoenix & Indianapolis discussed. Scientific Assembly: $28,000 motion made, seconded & approved for estimated total for scientific for: $1200 for 22 delegates & 2 alternates $1800 for president & president-elect Leadership: Eleven state chapters will receive $500 each, for a total of $5,500. NC ENA BOD receive total of $2200 each for travel. Motion made, seconded & approved. -Utilities: website; $3200 paid in 2013; embedded items cost more (links to register for conferences, pay with credit card, etc ); discussed monthly fees, functionality of website. Terri to find out the costs of online registration for chapter conferences through the state website. -Government Affairs: $3,000 No change. Final budget Final budget to be completed by Chris and sent to chapter presidents for voting by Friday, January 10 th and he requests that the voting be in by Monday the 12 th so he may submit final to national by the 15 th.
