1 2013 Childhood Obesity Prevention Summit The Future of Childhood Obesity Prevention: State and Local Success to National Progress Baltimore Marriott Inner Harbor at Camden Yards SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 29 2:00 pm - 7:00 pm Registration Foyer While registering, please take time to visit the exhibit area, which will feature resources from a range of organizations working to address childhood obesity. 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm Joint National Advisory Committee and Grantee Meeting & Dinner (Closed Door Meeting By Invite Only) Salon E&F MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 30 9:00 am - 6:00 pm Registration Foyer 7:00 am - 9:00 am Continental Breakfast University 1&2 8:00 am - 11:30 am Site Visits (Optional) Hotel Lobby Option 1: Great Kids Farm Participants will visit this working farm, owned and operated by Baltimore City Public Schools (BCPS), which provides innovative nutrition and culinary educational opportunities for young students and engages them in the process of improving school and community access to healthy foods. During the visit attendees will watch as local students participate in on-site education programs and farm activities. Participants should wear comfortable shoes. Option 2: Druid Hill Park and Lake Participants will have the opportunity to observe and directly interact with the park's many offerings for physical activity as they hike a trail and explore the exercise stations embedded throughout the park. A limited number of bikes and helmets will be available for those who are interested in cycling. Participants will learn about the Department of Recreation and Park s role in creating and maintaining the park as well as other programs hosted by the park. Participants should wear comfortable shoes and attire for moderate physical activity. Option 3: Paul Laurence Dunbar High School for Health Professions Participants will tour the historic school and observe a number of features being implemented to promote healthy eating and active living among students. Dunbar students are taking a proactive approach to their own health and wellness, and participants will have the opportunity to speak with a group of students about the process of improving healthy options within the school.

The reception will begin at 9:00 pm. Under a tent with a full panoramic view of the Inner Harbor, guests will be treated to a light bar and passed hors d oeuvres along with entertainment ranging from healthy eating and active living trivia to a Dance Dance Revolution game area.
