CATEGORIES: XX LATIN CUP: Teams and Individuals according to the Rules of the Latin Cup. Every country is requested to present a team integrated by three females and three men, as follows: SENIOR, CADET and JUNIOR. MERCOSUR CUP: Only for athletes from Clubs and Institutions members of the Orienteering South American Confederation (Art.5 Reglamento IOF). Cathegories H (Men=Hombres) and D (Women=Damas): Elite: H16E, D16E, H18E, D18E, H20E, D20E, H21E, D21E. Very Difficult: H14A, D14A, H16A, D16A, H18A, D18A, H20A, D20A, H21A, D21A, H35A, D35A, H40A, D40A, H45A, D45A. SPECIAL ATTENTION: Athletes are allowed to participate in more than one event only if she/he meets the requirements for the event. For example: Luis Perez H21A from Uruguay may be part of the XX LC, the VIII MERCOSUR CUP, and the 2nd. IMOM. The Organizer Comitee could join up Cathegories according to the number of participants. In that case, it will be properly informed to the incumbent Federations.

16 POSSIBLE RISKS - No climate risks in the área. - Possible risks of Flora and Fauna FLORA The Aruera (Lithraea molleoides, Lithraea brasiliensis) is a shallow tree original from South America, with green and thin leeves, and with a small prickle. It is better now for the damage causing to human skin. People with sensitive skin may suffer allergies only by a simple touch. The Aruera liberates toxins which might last some weeks. No treatment exists for this allergy. Specific creams and ointments may be applied on the area affected. POISONOUS SNAKES IN URUGUAY CRUCERA - (Bothrops alternatus). Generally living in low places, wetlands or grasslands. Its size is close to 1,80 mts. It is easly to recognize it by its inverted C letter on both sides of the body. It takes its name by the Cross-shape on its head, which is not easy to see from far distances.

17 YARA or YARARÁ - (Bothrops neuwiedii pubescens). Generally living in stony areas and hills. It can be found all over the country. It is much more agressive than Crucera, but smaller in size. It is easily recognized by its trapezoidal shapes on both sides of its body. Preferably eats rodents. Its bite is very painful and dangerous, because it can cause the death of the victim if timely treatment is not received. CORAL - (Micrurus frontalis altirostris). Its behaviour is extremely pacific. Due to this characteristic, there are not many cases of dangerous encounters in Uruguay. It is a very small snake (approx. 50 cms). However, its venom is very dangerous. It is easily recognized by the presence of red and yellow rings on black background.
