27 PUSD Graduation Requirements Student must complete required courses to earn the High School Diploma 1 semester = 5 units 2 semesters = 10 units English: 4 years Mth Math: 3 years Algebra I Geometry Mth Math Elective History/Social Science: 3 years World History US History Government/Economics Science: 3 years Biology Chemistry or Physics Science Elective Physical Education: 2 years World Language: 1 year Visual & Performing Arts: 1 year Electives: 10 semesters

28 PUSD Graduation Requirements Earn a minimum of 220 units Pass the California High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE) English 40 units Math 30 units History 30 units Si Science 30 units PE 20 units World Language 10 units Visual & Performing Arts 10 units Electives 50 units Almost every core class is also offered as a Honors and Advanced Placement course Check with Counselors for Honors and AP pre-requisites which serve as guideline for academic preparation
