Naviance Family Connection Senior To-Do List Colleges I m Applying To Complete FERPA Enter all colleges applying to and decision type Self Report Test Scores Enter PSAT, SAT, ACT scores Scholarships Search in the Scholarship List and National Scholarship Search Brag Sheet In the About Me tab and used by teachers and your Guidance Advisor to write letters of recommendation for scholarships, colleges, other special programs. Resume In the About Me tab and used by teachers and your Guidance Advisor to write letters of recommendation for scholarships, colleges, other special programs

How do you access Family Connection? Find Family Connection here: Current seniors are already registered and have a unique username and password Senior parents get access codes tonight On your first visit, enter the code in the New User box, then follow on-screen instructions to create a user name and password Username is your address On subsequent visits, sign in using the Returning User box

Senioritis signs Parents should encourage their college-bound children to talk to them right away if any of these symptoms occur: A significantly lower grade in a course A decline in overall GPA Abandoning extracurricular activities Disciplinary action Academic misconduct Increased absences or tardiness Suspension for drug or alcohol use Tell on yourself: If a family is talking about any of these problems, the student also should be talking about it with the admissions department where they have been accepted or are wait-listed. The earlier the student self reports, the better. That way, the college can either advise the student about what they can do to sustain an offer of admission or if it will be withdrawn.

Remember these guidelines An admission decision, test score, or GPA is not a measure of your self-worth. Be confident! Be deliberate! Be realistic and trust your instincts! Be open-minded! Be honest; be yourself!

What is your plan? What are you doing to fulfill your plan? Are your college application essays written, taken the SAT or ACT, requested letters of recommendation? How are you doing with recovering credits? Do you have a completed resume & brag sheet? Have you talked to a military recruiter? Have you visited Career colleges websites and understand their timelines for applying? Have you shared your plan with friends and family?
