Overview - IDSync Photo Synchronization The IDSync photo synchronization feature is an add-on software capability to the base IDSync connecter for Parallels Automation APS2 package. The Photo Synchronization feature of IDSync allows the user to add their photo in Active Directory Users and Computers (ADUC) along with other meta data and update in the Parallels Control Panel. A Photo of the user can be added using the Photo tab that is available in the properties window of ADUC. The Photo tab contains two buttons Add Photo Clear Photo Using the Add Photo button, the user photo can be added by opening the desired image from its stored location and clicking on the Ok button. The picture is then saved for the user. After uploading the photo to ADUC, like other meta-data, the photo will automatically synchronize with it s corresponding account in the Parallels control panel under General tab. PHOTO MAINTENANCE An existing Photo in ADUC can be changed anytime using the Change photo button. An existing Photo in ADUC can be deleted at anytime by clicking on the Clear Photo button that is available in the Photo tab. Page 3 of 22
Open Photo tab To start the Photo Synchronization process, click on Active Directory Users and Computer from the task bar. Page 4 of 22
Right click on the user who is already assigned with subscription and select Properties Page 5 of 22

Login to the Parallels Control Panel and search for the same user under Exchange subscription. Note : The User profile should be displayed without any picture. View Photo In Control Panel Page 8 of 22
Upload Photo to Active Directory Click on the Photo tab in properties window of user and click on Add Photo button Page 9 of 22
Select picture from the image location using Please Select an Image window Page 10 of 22
Click on Open button after selecting the Picture. Page 11 of 22
Check whether the selected picture is added in the Photo tab. Now click on Ok button to save the picture. Page 12 of 22
Add Photo - View in Parallels Control Panel Login to the Parallels Control Panel, select the subscription of the user to whom picture is added. Search for the user using search option and click on the Display name link to view the loaded Picture or click on Login link in the below page and click on Contact Information link. Note : Picture will be added in Parallels Control Panel after the next Synchronization cycle. Page 13 of 22

View Uploaded Picture in Microsoft Outlook Open Microsoft Outlook added Photo will appear in the New Email window Page 15 of 22
Change Photo At any time the picture can be changed using the Change Photo button. Right click on the user whose picture needs to be changed in ADUC and select Properties Click on Photo tab and click on Change Photo button Page 16 of 22
Select the Picture that will replace the old one. Page 17 of 22
Replace Old Photo The Old photo will replace the new one that is selected from list. Click on Ok. Page 18 of 22
Change Photo - View in Parallels Control Panel Login to Parallels control panel and search for the user whose picture is changed in ADUC. Parallels control panel should be updated with the Picture that is added in ADUC. Page 19 of 22
Clear Photo The picture that is added can be Cleared at any point of time from the user profile in ADUC. Click on Clear Photo button in the Photo tab. Page 20 of 22
Picture will be cleared. Click on Ok button to close. Page 21 of 22
Clear Photo - View in Parallels Control Panel Login to Parallels Control panel and check whether the picture has been cleared. Page 22 of 22
