PROFESSIONAL INTERESTS JOANNE CATTAFESTA, PH.D. University of Kentucky Division of Instructional Communication and Research Lexington, KY 40506 joanne.cattafesta@uky.edu I am interested in understanding how relationships enter into individuals career development and career decisions. My interest in relationships brings together two areas in the field of communication: organizational and interpersonal. Specifically, my work considers how to best prepare individuals for successfully entering workplaces where they are likely to confront career opportunities, yet also tight economies and instability. It is within this context that learning the organizational, interpersonal and professional skills necessary to effectively communicate becomes extremely important.
