Ensure curriculum offered aligns with CSUSB standards as well as the standards for accreditation established by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). Advise students in the major. Conduct disciplinary meetings as needed. Network with area Community Colleges to ensure the smooth transition of community college students to the BASW major. Recruit students to the BASW program. Taught in traditional classroom, interactive television, and Internet environments to 2008 Graduate Advisor Academic and career advising of Master of Social Work students, including the creation of plans of study, tracking students with academic and professional issues, and coordination with other advisors and the Associate Director in retention and dismissal of students from the program. Recruitment of students into the Master of Social Work and the Ph.D. program in Social Work. Referred students to appropriate University services. Made presentations at various functions to recruit students to the Master of Social Work programs. Completed revisions of the Ph.D. student handbook and other Ph.D. materials. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE Crisis Clinician/ Crisis Team Leader Mount Tom Crisis Center, Holyoke, Massachusetts Completed level of risk assessments for consumers in mental health crisis to determine appropriate level of mental health treatment. Evaluated consumers with mental health and substance abuse diagnoses from a wide variety of backgrounds. Completed all required paperwork, placement searches and authorizations for identified treatment plans from insurance companies. Coordinated services with area service providers such as case managers, outreach workers, therapists, psychiatrists, primary care clinicians and day programs. As a Crisis Team Leader, provided individual and group supervision to crisis clinicians and MSW interns. Aided in triage, assessment and determination of disposition for consumers.

McAllister Service Coordinator Alta California Regional Center, Sacramento, California Provided case management and advocacy services to adolescents and young adults (ages fourteen through twenty-two) with developmental disabilities. Assisted consumers and their families to acquire and maintain support and services in areas such as: transportation, vocational training, day programming, education, mental health services, independent living training, medical care, in and out of home respite and placement services. Completed and updated all required documentation, such as the Individual Program Plan. Collaborated with community agencies to ensure a high quality of service for consumers and their families Clinical Social Work Intern University of California, Los Angeles Medical Center, Los Angeles, California Interned with the Kidney and Kidney/ Pancreas Transplant Program. This included pretransplant assessments, resources and support for persons waiting for a transplant, inpatient post-transplant clinical work, discharge planning and outpatient follow up. Completed rotation cases in oncology, emergency room, general medicine, pediatrics and neurological rehabilitation. Co-facilitated a liver transplant support group Clinical Social Work Intern Neighborhood Youth Association, Los Angeles, California Assisted children aged six to seventeen in an after school program for at-risk youth. Counseled individuals and groups, assisted families in obtaining outside resources, assessed potential candidates for the program, and facilitated a group for high school girls at Venice High School Mental Health Worker Safe Harbor Crisis House, Woodland California On-call worker at a transitional housing facility for adults with mental health diagnoses. Counseled individuals and groups, assisted with daily activities and medications, responded to crisis situations, and worked with a multidisciplinary team on treatment and discharge planning Live-in Mental Health Worker Pine Tree Gardens, Davis California Live in worker at a board and care facility for adults with chronic mental health diagnoses. Counseled, assisted with daily needs and medications, responded to crisis situations, and advocated for consumers.

Provided crisis intervention, resource and referral information, assessed for risk behaviors and gave presentations on campus. Answered crisis lines at night, trained new peer counselors and gave back-up support to a staff of sixty Resident Advisor University of California, Davis, Davis California Lived with fifty first-year students in a residential hall.
