Expansion of Telenor s footprint August 1, 2013; Globul officially consolidated in the Telenor Group. Germanos Bulgaria, operationally integrated with Globul and the leading telecom retailer in the Bulgaria, was included in the transaction. Present in Bulgaria since 2001. 99.98 % population coverage. 4.5 million subscribers. 36 percent subscriber market share. June 2013: Telenor Group acquired one of the two nationwide telecom licences issued by the government of Myanmar. Telenor plans to rapidly roll out a modern telecommunications network and services that will deliver the benefits of mobile communications to people throughout the country.
